The harm was to the Cherokee Nation. Because Elizabeth claimed benefits as a Cherokee, it means that a real Cherokee did not get a benefit. “I’m sorry” is not enough. She needs to provide the worth of her ill-gotten gain to a member of the Cherokee tribes. If she gained college tuition, then she needs to pay the college tuition of a Cherokee student. All she needs to do is even the score with the Cherokee Nation.
The ideological zeal to claim victimhood is a zero-sum equation.
Whatever you might temporarily gain for self, comes by robbing it from others.
And how does that not make them . . . the oppressor and victimizer of others?
Go protest yourself! The victimhood ideology that has infected the Left always eats its own and then itself, alive. If they cure themselves from this infection they can once again take their rightful place as part of the check-and-balance that is a free and stable democratic structure.
Issue for America right now, seem to be twofold:
1. The balance between Right and Left and
2. That the Left has become increasingly infected with an “oppressed/oppressor” ideology reminiscent of almost every exercise of national atrocity in the 20th Century.
