“Apocrypha” comes from the Greek word apokrypha [ajpovkrufo”], which means “things that are hidden, secret.”
I have posted threads in the past that warned of the rise of the police state, martial law, FEMA camps, and one world government. Much of that was met with mixed reactions and ridicule, tin foil hat conspiracy theory and name calling.
It now seems like a faded nightmare…or is it? Obama is no longer in the White House and Donald J. Trump now occupies that office. The left is in full blown meltdown mode because they are no longer in power and their globalist agenda has been set back by the agenda of a president that is trying to put the future of America before the interests of the globalist elites.
Having been thwarted, the left now employs groups like black lives matter and antifa to foment violence and racial division in an attempt to bring about radical change to America where eight years of Obama failed to achieve that desired change.
The fear of martial law and the rise of the police state still exists; the missing element or catalyst for change is now in play. That catalyst is the antifa movement. The group will continue to create violence in America until there is no other option remaining but martial law to restore law and order. Either way, America loses…and the fate of the rest of the free world will soon follow.

I can see that, as well. I am not going to join in with the insanity that I see being played out. I will not be one of those putting myself out there protesting, or rioting — or even joining any group that does. Knowing that when it comes to be that protestors are arrested, I will not be out there.
I know that FEMA camps were built and they are still waiting for a reason to be used. I know that our President knows that they are there for him to decide what to do with them. I am sure that the thought of who to fill them with is not far from his mind when he sees the hate and fighting on both sides. Yes, it will bring Martial law. I plan to be compliant and not be of those who need to be arrested. I know what side of the toast my toast is buttered on.
My personal thought is that it is short-sighted to focus on issues of police and government . . . Rather than on our choice to live in ways that need policing and control.
It is only those who cannot police themselves who need police. It is only those who cannot govern (control) themselves who need “controllers. Only the Lawless need laws.
It has been a very long time since governments have governed and representatives represent. We have required them more and more, to become controllers and game players; because we are not controlling ourselves and have become intoxicated on very silly little games of power over and control of others for both business and entertainment.
We have called for this reality in the way we have chosen to design the reality in which we live. Carping at the symptoms and continuing OUR personal control games on top of them, moves us farther and farther from seeing solutions.
Solutions that unify; not divide.

So basically your answer to something like the L.A. Rampart murder scandals would be to do things like go on a diet, take a personal inventory, join a 12 step program?

So law abiding citizens who are victims of crimes,…. Don’t need police?
So those in rescue situations, don’t need the help of the first first-responder that’s going to arrive at a scene because they’re already out on the road?
You didn’t come up with a solution that unifies or divides.
Everyone being omnibenevolent or in total self-control isn’t a solution. It’s a fantasy in total denial of a mountain range of empirical data.

If somehow we were all law-abiding, would we need police?
If we all understood and valued living in peace with one another, would the laws need to be written?
In each case a choice is presented to us. And where there is Choice one can be taught to Choose Wisely.

Who directs traffic when the power goes off?
Some “laws” have nothing to do with morals, like driving on the right side of the road in the U.S. or no-trespassing in things like abandoned mines.
There are instances when a choice isn’t given, so I’m not sure what you mean by “each case”. Example: your truck is sliding on ice on a narrow bridge, with all options open to you causing property damage.
Sure people can be taught to choose wisely, but omniscience isn’t something one can train for.

It seems like few people know this, but if the traffic lights stop working the intersection becomes a four-way stop. And if there is a conflict then the person on the right gets the right of way.
But if the base nature was not “me first and screw everyone else!”, we would not need rules written about this.
There are often obscure exceptions if we really want to hunt for them. I am talking about a broad concept here about self control and an eye to the greater social construct we are all a part of.
It’s something that if enough people adopted it, the organism of human society would take a giant step ahead.
And we would not have to be content just with children with greater entertainment and competition skills!
We would see a surge in interpersonal relationship skills that seems sorely lacking.
So why in the hell do you support the douche who ran on militarizing the police, & using them unconstitutionally?

You really think martial law will result from a few brawls, when mass shootings haven’t even had this effect?
