I am one among many who don’t like doing laundry. And after years of pondering why there is such a great dislike for the chore I think I’ve hit upon the root of it.
We’re jealous.
We wish we could go through a laundering cycle and come out minus the wrinkles and 3 sizes smaller!

I just had to face the fact that my two favourite pairs of Levi’s are holy…wish I was.

But so too are White House Press secretaries hiding in bushes. Among bushes! Sorry, among bushes!
So I’m not sure what that says about the whole process of “trending”!
There’s this old movie I saw once where someone made a vodoo doll of this person and someone else (other than the person who made it) was playing with it. They had it walking into the washing machine. They showed the guy going though a car wash, and coming out soaking wet and disheveled, looking bewildered as to why he did what he just did.
Knowing what I know about clothing, they don’t have much of a lifecycle. They get holes. The detergent doesn’t taste great (I know my mom and dad used to sell Shaklee products and they washed my mouth out with the soap). Once I got some of the powder stuff in my nose and got post-nasal drip from it. The agitation would be none too pleasant. And when not in use you occupy a closet, dresser, or a trunk. Sometimes it gets bought and sold having multiple owners, most of which who don’t take all that good care of it, figuring if they need more, they’ll simply buy more.
Even shrinking is not an ideal thing. It is actually a thing that DAMAGES the fabric

It’s strange what we remember. And what we don’t.
There is an old saying, “Clothes make the man”…as a pirate, I must agree with that statement.
