Trying to fit an entire sex into one description doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Its like saying all men wear baseball caps. I do but I know a lot of guys who don’t.
One of the things I like to ask myself when I get judgmental about anything is; am I really judging myself and using something I see externally to put a sharper focus I can’t see in a mirror?
In this case, is it maybe you being obsessed with thinking women are obsessed with their beauty? If you want to see that, there is plenty of evidence out there to see that. If you want to see the opposite; there is plenty of evidence to support that too.
This place is a great example of how people can get focused on what they want to believe and then cherry pick anything that supports their P.O.V..
You have an opportunity right now to determine if you are open minded by nature, or closed. Your first comment “I do”, Indicates you are taking a firm stance on an extreme opinion. Can you retreat from that aggressive comment and consider the possibility that your position might not be supportable?
None of us knows it all. If we start by thinking that only our opinions are valid, odds are we will not grow as individuals. We have to start by being receptive to the evolution of thinking, through exposing ourselves to different opinions. Then objectively evaluating them against what out personal experience is telling us.
Now, here’s a thought associated with your question again. Maybe “society” has become obsessed to a degree by what advertisers tell us is beauty in the female form. Some women, just like some men, will fall for the claims made by advertisers of what “beauty” is because they are selling something.
Experience tells me that true beauty comes from the heart and a nice rack is just icing on the cake.

Just an observation about advertisers. It’s very hard to sell a product that people won’t buy.
They have to tap into some deep-seated need or want. How much can we blame them for simply doing what capitalism does?
Ultimately the buyers drive the market not the sellers. We cannot really blame them for what we the consumers are willing to buy.
But the Cosmetics industry is a monster. Its 2014 revenues would have covered the finance costs of the u.s. national debt for 2014 and 2015.

Many are, especially in California. What I like about Arizona is that women are more natural and don’t wear a lot of make-up. We dress for the hot sun and desert sand.
They know their target. Men are generally more visually oriented. that is what attracts our sex drive if it is turned on. And if it’s turned off that’s what turns it on. That’s why our preferred pornography is visual.
Women are generally more relationship-oriented, and their preferred pornography is literary. Our masculinity is the flip side of their beauty. But it involves a very complex set of behaviors that is in flux right now because there is even less of a general consensus on what women want, than ever before in human history.
There is perhaps some pity to be reserved for those who devote too much of their time and resources to becoming little more than a life support system for their beauty or machismo.
They become little more than boobs and dick-heads.
