Why or why not?
My family asks me to do stuff all the time.
Evil people want to disempower others, break them down, intimidate them with fear and shame once they get some sin on you. Eventually, they get eaten their own selves.
They do not age well.

They can do whatever they want. Whether I follow what they say is another thing.
@randomtheodd That’s the basis of free and open society. They can say what they want: mostly do what they want, within societal constraints of course.
But I think we run into a snarl of ego in sometimes confusing the well-intentioned input of others, for them trying to tell us what to do.
