Since starting trucking I found that time often seemed to be an intractable enemy. I’ve inserted an asserting into my morning meditations/devotions: “May the timing always be perfect”.
It comes from a realization in my life that just because “”I”” might think something has turned into a cluster-fuck, doesn’t really mean it has. I’m not the only wheel in motion. There are circles within circles at work, often overlapping. And I cannot see them all. (Usually just the ones that trigger my negative emotions!)
More than once the seemingly nonsensical delay that got me so frustrated at it’s blowing my schedule . . . has meant I was not in an area when a bad accident happened.
Or has resulted in a consignee praising the perfect timing of a delivery because they would not have been ready for it earlier.
Time is just . . . . time! We like to think we control it and are it’s master, but it simply marches on , oblivious to the frustrations and consternations it causes us.
So invent your own morning assertion that will put you back in control: not of time, because nobody can do that! But of yourself. Your own life, mind, feelings and emotions. What you might think is the destroying of a carefully wrought schedule, may simply be the opening up to a much more blessed schedule you would have remained entirely and angrily oblivious to had you maintained the angry illusion that you were time’s master!
@griz I’m guilty of jumping to the cluster fuck thinking as well. I thought grad school was being a cluster fuck but I’ve almost made it through the first semester, and I’ve made it!

Faster — but it is because I am running slower. The days seem to rush by. Then, Arizona doesn’t participate in the Daylight savings time and we keep having to do math to figure out what time it is in other places.

I work in a satellite offices with other offices spread all over the place. I never know the one anywhere. It’s all so confusing.
We are in savings time here so from now til late December there will be a little more darkness each day.
Time is relentless and it is beautiful. Just last night I was looking at historic photos of my city and as I sat there looking at the simplicity of life, the near deserted streets, the horse carriages and undeveloped lands, I was overcome with emotion. I cried for the changes that has been seen over the past 100 years. So much has changed that some things are almost unrecognizable. Change is good – it makes life “easier”, it makes us more productive, it’s a platform for our successes and growth. But we loose a little something with every change, so change is not all good. But it is inevitable.
@mamajoy that was a very nice wtitering mama joy. I like when I feel stuck in moments of time, aka being in my present. Today I felt it when I was just sitting in my office watching the way the last of the leaves on the trees outside were projecting a dance on my wall. I will miss the leaves. I wish we could tape the leaves.

As more people buy in to those DNA analysis tests online, mankind is being manipulated.
Ancestry.com and 23and Me are in a conspiracy with hostile aliens trying to determine how many humans have the capacity to resist the take over of this planet. I am not the only extraterrestrial alien here, but unlike the others, I am not hell bent on enslaving mankind.
