Democrat Bernie supporter makes good on leftist violence and shoots a senator.

So it finally happened. The violent rhetoric that you leftists have been spewing has finally been brought to light when one of you guys shot at a bunch of GOP senators. How do you guys feel about it? As many on this site have pointed out, America is being run by a “fascist regime” and a “mob family” etc. You believe the current administration and the GOP is killing the earth, a threat to America, and quite literally, fascists.

Given everything you people on this website have said about the GOP and the Trump administration, do you condemn or condone the actions of James Hodgkinson?

And btw, the gun he used? A 60 year old 10 shot capacity rifle. It’s literally quite legal to own in almost every state. So, given what he was able to do with it, should we ban those guns?

President Trump is doing a good job in spite of the bullshit acts of the Left fighting against him. The way I see it, they can riot and protest, scream from pulpits, rant, break store windows, rob and loot store owners, set buildings on fire, turn over Police cars, break things all around the cities, stand in traffic to block people from getting where they need to go …….. and Donald Trump is STILL our President and he is STILL doing a good job. However, when the angry Left start KILLING —— that is when the shooter or shooters need to be put down and stopped by killing them, if an arrest can’t be made. Killing and wounding GOP Senators will only result in wounded Senators and if any Senate seats are emptied, we can elect more Senators to fill those seats. That big asshole temper tantrum will change NOTHING!!! Our President is not doing anything impeachable and he is supported by the majority — all of the red states that voted for him.

The mere fact that the left is hell bent on disarming law abiding gun owners, does the left really want to start a shooting war with the people who own most of the guns in America?

  4. This partisan-politics score card shit is typical ‘merican tunnel vision. It just reinforces the main problem of division in this country. Trump can’t unite the people, and a leader who can’t unite their people is an ineffective leader. Obama, DUHbya both ineffective. I hate Bill Clinton, but the guy could either bring people together, or there didn’t exist this binary blame game to the point where the majority is too obsessed with drama over doing the job.
If this country is too stupid to unite when the changing world includes oncoming consumer markets the size of which, WILL change the economic structure from revolving around the USA, to being centered around the potential markets due to their sheer numbers, there’s no great again.
Trump’s facespace has a video-meme the administration put out on Friday with a typo, and it’s still there. It’s half-assed simple things like this that vividly illustrate incompetence.
On the other hand democrat tactics, going against Trump, for the most part are complete gestures that they just don’t have the numbers in Congress to pull off, so that’s just more partisan bullshit as well.

I can understand the dissatisfaction with the non-effective often counter productive way activists in this insane country push their concerns, but it doesn’t excuse the failings of this administration, as well as previous ones, to do the job instead of the new norm of endless election campaigning.

Hey the ship’s hull has been breached, let’s ignore that the ship will go down killing everybody, and concentrate on killing half the ship instead of patching the hole. Why? Fucking WHY?

  5. Are you joking is my response to the title. Far left extremists have done an enormous amount of violence over the years. North Korea is far left, Venezula is far left, Zimbabwe is far left, China is far left. Cuba is far left. The US has had far left terror, though it was mostly in the sixties and the seventies.

The Soviet Union and Communist countries killed and tortured hundreds of millions of people in the last century.

The far right incarnated in Hitler and the Nazis was worse, in terms of evil. Had they the power those nations had, they would have killed as many. And from their insane war, they did kill well over a hundred million. The way in which they performed systematic genocide and slaughter was the height of nightmare.

I can point out here that the two are very related. At the extremes, they are the same animal. The details are different, but it is just like language. They speak different language one can say, but end up as the same beast.

Before I state the fact that the US actually has more incarcerated then any of these far left regimes today, I want to point out that this current political environment? That is where the US is distinctly headed.

It is true that the regimes I mentioned are far more brutal in their prison systems and justice system. But, the brutality of the US justice is actually something that can already be compared, fairly, not in a class of its’ own to these.

And the wider, otherwise peaceful, fair minded, well educated populace is to blame. They accept and even speak well of the brutal extrajudicial punishment they expect and seem to want prisoners to have in these systems.

On the other hand, many here are aware of this and do seriously want change. Left and right. But, are they willing to drop their preconceived notions to move into the future?

I will state that absolutely there are disturbing developments on the right, as well as the left. And that I saw many who otherwise are unfair critics to Trump and the right come out and condemn Kathy Griffin’s head chopped off “comedy, as well as this shooting.

I believe President’s should get respect, so I do so. Unless they truly cross a line, which I do not believe Trump has done. I believe his political viewpoints are valid, though I do not agree with all of them. This could change, but this is where we are today.

I certainly am aware of some deficiencies from his past which disturb me. But, then, I am aware of such deficiencies with some other candidates as well, that are equally disturbing. And as it has been with some other Presidents.

While certainly the mainstream media is left leaning, the far left is in a different place then the far right, which is becoming more vocal. But, they are alienated, and their delusions about the mainstream media are certainly not entirely untrue.

The real hard core left stuff, however, I see mostly in more pocketed, isolated circles.

Though, online, over the years, it has been routine for me to come across atheists who have considered it a valid thought to destroy all religions. Entirely oblivious to the history of Communism, because of the American school system.

(I had to read long, difficult books over many years to become educated about Communism. Nazism also was not properly taught and condemned in schools, though it is widespread educated through the entertainment media and rightly so.)

I am not seeing nor hearing, however, in regards to the left much calls for violence… though we have seen effective violence from groups like “anonymous”. I worked at several companies hit by them.

There is definitely a strong uptick also in the “reverse racism”, coming out that disturbs me. And in this situation I am watching, to my dismay, neo-nazism gain ground. Which severely exacerbates the situation.

As a white man, I have experienced extensive racism from blacks, including workplace violence. Distintcly, today, I live in an area where blacks frequent, but they are all first generation immigrants and have none of the racism problems which are inherent in the african-american legacy culture. (Certainly not everywhere, but it is out there, and quite loud and obvious.)

The very idea that whites are different is a much more touted idea today then in times past, even though today we know there is effectively no genetic difference between blacks and whites apart from minor adaptations to living environments. (Whites adapted to more cold, northern climates, blacks adapted to more hot, equatorial climates.)

Cultures, though, are critical. Both legacy cultures need cleansing. Whites from nazism and pro-slavery sentiments, where that exists, and blacks from the slavery past. Always talking about past trauma is bad. The reason you can tell multi-generational blacks from first generation immigrants right off apart from accent but from sight is because the former invariably are white mixed. Only an extremely few whites had anything to do with slavery, and their ancestors were most likely slaves themselves. African slavery continues in African Muslim nations, for this matter, where it began in the first place.

Uh, not sure what you do in computer security (forensics?), but we are both security professionals, both probably doing it for years (two decades myself) and both probably make at least low six figures… (not that plenty don’t make less and are equally good, such as some gov workers)…

Sure, it isn’t much people work usually, but that area is more intellectual then any other, save maybe what counterintelligence analysts do (who very often get in with little special training).

        So, you tell me.

I would say if the central problem is the very idea that all good can only be done through political action. That everyone believes in, it seems. (Not me, I think throwing more at the problem is stupid.) Escalate from there, if people believe in “direct action”, and what kind? And how serious are the problems they are making them out to be?

Ultimately, though it is when activist groups start to ideologically cross the line and advocate violence via direct action as mandatory and the ultimate virtue where problems start to arise.

We did see this on a lesser scale with “anonymous”, but it is another level – albeit related – to move from attacking systems with distributed denial of service, to harming people’s lives severely with death threats, stalking, consistent threats of attack. Something that the right has been engaging in a lot. Though, there the systematic targeting has rarely escalated to violence, there is severe harassment behavior, such as is rarely seen before.

The left, can be the same thing, but the hard core left, I do not know. They are not as visible. I am sure there are some out there, and as the Presidency continues, they likely will get hardened. Both sides need to chill on the rhetoric, neither is.

So, yes, matter of time before some of those who grew up in “anonymous” and remain hard core activists get into far left terrorist groups again, ala, as it was in the 80s, 70s, 60s.

North Korea is another factor here, I would not put it beyond North Korea to supplement some far left groups in America. Though, now the Soviet Union is gone, NK has yet to show that level of capability which Russia had deeply developed since at least the late 19th century back when anarchists and communist terrorists were first starting to appear and the Czarist secret police got good.

Without that state sponsered backing, this does mean we will surely see more acts of violence from both the far left and right, but Islamist terrorism on US shore remains far more likely for the maximum damage.

Considering that all of this does continue to raise the volatility of the US, however, all accurate predictions are off because almost any one singular major action, war, or natural disaster could seismically increase the overall volatility overnight.

So, there is that analysis for you.

Good news is all of these groups are inherently social, though it is true some are aware that they need to not be so while they form action cells.

Extremely difficult for anyone that radicalized to blend in, however, as a top virtue for them is to always speak their radicalize and evangelize it.

        You tell me.

I am not “left”, and I do not like any communist nation, North Korea is in a very bad place. Actually, being anti-communist is not a left thing to do. It is amazing you took my excellent analysis away with this weird thing.

Just further tells me how correct I am not to belong to either side, and generally not to step in and offer opinions to either side.

You have blinders on. That is not critical thinking. You are viewing matters from a team based relationship, instead of looking at them objectively.

I mentioned North Korea situation could flare up, as well as the Middle East or a natural disaster. Your takeaway was somehow only NK.

And somehow that made me left in your mind, lol.

You are not really right from my perspective, either, as you have clearly not even studied Communism and seen its’ evils or your would have agreed with me.

I have been for the eradication of Communism and Islamism for decades now. You are not even serious about your beliefs there. Which is why guys like me force the issue and manipulate to get things done, rather then trust in idealogues who are not serious.

There are many ways to carry while playing sports or going to the gym. There are there are things called belly bands, there’s guns with pocket clips that you can carry IWB, and there’s thunderwear. There are so many ways to carry, even when you’re active or wearing tight attire.

So a shoot out is your answer. Everybody shooting in all directions, with no regard where the bullets land. Thank god there was 2 cops there who took down the shooter.

The shooter with his years of domestic violence had two guns he legally owned.

Your buddies are really good at creating and using loopholes:

“Though federal law prohibits convicted domestic abusers from purchasing guns, there are several cavernous loopholes that benefit abusers and put the rest of us at risk. If an abuser is his victim’s intimate partner but not legal spouse, cohabitant, or co-parent, the law doesn’t apply. In most states, abusers can keep the firearms they already have, making the ban moot for gun owners. And convicted perpetrators of domestic violence, like all people with criminal records, can avail themselves of a wealth of options for gun procurement without having to undergo background checks. Conservative judges and justices are still defending domestic abusers’ rights to own guns.”
