Do you ever start to realize that there is only one reality in all of humanity and that is that we exist? Everything else is just all stories we’ve told ourselves. Layer after layer of delusion and illusion?
History that really happened, really DID happen. It is not a “story”, “delusion”, nor “illusion”. It happened. We erect statues to remember that it happened, so that history won’t repeat itself. Pulling down the statues, or painting over paintings will not change what happened. Sure, we exist, but we have made mistakes in history that should not be covered up, pulled down, nor painted over. We LEARN from them.
