Summer is around the bend, and many of us will be taking road trips. I just found this amazing looking Ice Cream road trip in Oregon. I think we will be driving part of this route soon. Check out each ice cream shop in the link I provided.

@Gina nope. That was one I roasted over a fire we had in the back yard.
here is another burger joint that is a don’t miss when you travel north of Toronto. The have about 5 or 6 antique passenger rail cars on the property you can take your burger into. It was a must stop when it was family owned. Now, its there for nostalgia versus a fantastic burger, fries, shake stop

@spitfire3dc That looks like a very old school burger joint! I don’t know when the next time I will be near Toronto, but it better be in the next decade. I really want to go back to Montreal and Old Quebec.

@Weenis That looks like an awesome loop. Its smart of you to head north and get away from the scorching heat of your summer. There is a super fun pit stop north of the Sonoma Wine Country in Hopland, CA off Hwy 101. As the city name suggests, they grow hops so there are a lot of brew pubs, and a fun place for the family: The Solar Living Institute. You can stop by and ride their stationary bikes that help fuel the site. There is a water park all solar powered, and places to hike around. You can check out all the ways they use solar technology. They have a shop called Real Goods that has sustainable living items, aka survivalists items. Here is a tour of the place:

It doesn’t get hot where I live in AZ. We try to get up to Washington over the 4th of July for the annual family reunion.
It should be fun. Me, wife, 2 kids, motor home, 2 dogs, audio books, and a lot of miles.
My hope is to take it slow on the way back, staying at different beach parks as we go. Maybe make it a 3 day trip back to AZ. If everything goes according to plan, the only money I will be spending in the state of Californiastan is gas money, otherwise every single Californian piss up a rope.
@Weenis I knew you would try to turn this into a political discussion. Well, the Solar Living Institute is free. They ask for a small donation if you take a tour, but you don’t have to. You will need to stop and stretch your legs and use a bathroom, this is an amazing place to do so.
California will do just fine without your money. It’s the 6th richest economy in the world. Richest state in the nation. They are doing just fine.
