Erikson was a psychologist. He theorized that humans went through 8 stages of psycho-social development with the last stage being “ego integrity versus despair.” We usually come to this stage in older age. My question to you, will you look back on your life and feel good about your choices or will you be bitter, sad, distressed? Is there anything you can do now to change your fate?

I look back on my life and the bad choices I made as teaching me what not to pick. It guided me towards better choices. I am not bitter about anything in my past. Life just keeps improving. The only thing that did not improve was my hobby of gardening. In Los Angeles, gardening was easy. The soil was good and the weather was mild. Here in the Arizona desert, the soil is sand and salty. I learned to garden in planters and containers. August is the start of planting season and the weather can suddenly change and kill everything. Then, I start over. No big deal. Meeting Emery Park on SoulPancake turned my life around. I have found complete happiness. I stopped being Stinkyhenry and became Lady Barbara, and Emery Park became my Immortal Pirate. Life is relaxed and keeps getting better.
@ladybarbara I’m so happy you’re happy! Glad you’re doing well!
@Scarlett2 I’m glad to reconnect with you. You are on my facebook friends list, but I think you blocked me for being Republican. I’m looking forward to recharging our friendship on here. You are a sweet woman and like a ray of sunshine.
Life is about choices, good choices have rewards, and poor choices have consequences. That being said, looking back on the choices that I have made throughout my life have made me the man I am today. I have not always made good choices, but the poor choices are or were few and far between. One of the best choices I ever made was meeting Lady Barbara and falling in love with her. We now share our lives together here in Arizona.
