It depends on what you want to find them for.
The partners I had in life, I was enjoying my life and there they were. You have to be ready and open for that first “Hello”.
For women in my old generation, a girl kept to herself and enjoyed her life and friends until a guy introduced himself. Guys in my generation knew what they wanted and enjoyed the hunting and chase, until they zero in on the girl and then had no trouble introducing himself. He knew what he wanted. For the girls? The rules were not to chase boys. We ignored them until they saw us. If I wanted a guy to find me, I hid from him. He pursued me — until I caught him.
That is how I got Immortal Pirate. He was hanging out on Soul Pancake as “EmeryPark”. He made good friends with @Watching (Annette), and I was good friends with @Watching. She noticed that we were very much alike. She told him to meet me. She told me to meet him. I avoided him. I ran away from every post he answered on. With a name like “StinkyHenry”, he thought I was a guy and my icon picture looked like the guy on the box of Quaker Oats. He flirted with all the other women, so I figured him to be a smarmy bar-room cowboy type. I stayed away from him. I don’t like skirt chasers. Most of them ask for your number, then don’t call it for two weeks, giving a girl enough time to forget who they are. When he found out I was female, he asked me if I like sushi. Of course, I do. Then he wanted my phone number. The minute I gave it to him, HE CALLED IT!!!
I have told other guys to call the number, if a woman gives you her number. Call it, even if you are still sitting next to her. That way you will know if the number she gave you is really hers, or belongs to the County Morgue. She will find it amusing that you called her while still sitting next to her. Then you just say, “Now you have my number in your phone.” That is the first step.
To find someone, if you know their name, try facebook. Type in their name.
Or, try Classmates.com , just type in their name and they may be registered on Classmates.com . Then you will find out what high school or college they went to and see the pictures of how they looked in high school. I typed in my partner’s name and saw pictures of him when he was a little boy.

@Tits McGee It’s not creepy. When I was looking for my lost sons that had slipped out of my life, I found both of them registered with Classmates.com. We reunited after 30 years of losing each other. They were looking for me, but with my many marriages and name changes I was hard to find. 10 minutes on Classmates.com gave me my sons back. I was able to see that one son graduated from Berkley College. It was a joyous reunion. There is nothing “creepy” about a family reuniting. I looked on facebook to find that my sons were very interesting people. As for my partner, his boyhood school pictures were precious!!! He is not even registered with Classmates.com, but his elementary school pictures were accessible. I let him know that I found them and there is nothing creepy about that. I have also found old school pals that moved to another school and slipped out of my life. Messaging them, we were able to touch bases and see how we each turned out. I don’t see anything creepy about that. Old friends became close again. My late husband’s old girlfriend found me on facebook last week. I was once her friend, but my marrying her boyfriend tore us apart. We are now reunited as facebook friends and did some catching up. I did not see that reunion as creepy. You must have a warped and creepy mind to think that way.

I think you do it by broadcasting who you are, and then the people you are looking for just naturally gravitate to you.
