The odds are good; but the possibility of misstep or misfortune are not zero. AND considerable risk and SACRIFICE will be necessary.
Consider too that if “properly” takes on Machiavellian characteristics and “riches” are the only goal, those who’s riches come from immoral or even criminal activity would still have to be categorized as “doing it properly”.
Is that REALLY what we want to be saying? A goal of just riches . . . opens this door wide.

Actually in re-reading this later, I just wanted to clear up that “equity of outcome” doesn’t mean “anyone can do it”. It means the same outcome should be enforced to happen to everyone regardless of effort, competency, energy expended, improper aim or execution.
@griz what do you think the “science of getting rich ” states? The very first sentence of the book: “there is an exact science of getting rich.” Exact means if you waver from the exact nature… nothing happens.

There are ways to resolve these things without money or charity if one bothers learning them. Having money makes them easier, but being able to provide them even without money frees one up from a money-slave mindset.
You my friend have a money-slave mindset. That’s why I don’t think winning the lottery would really help you in the long run. I doubt you could switch to a money-master mindset before serious calamity befell you.
@griz what sort of calamity? Not addicted to drugs, alcohol, or gambling – and don’t do any of those things. Depending on how much i won, about the only thing i’d splurge on is a tiny house (there are programs about rhem o.n TV)… and only for the sake of not paying rent. I don’t drive, so i have no need of a car. I don’t eat extravagantly expensive dood. I try to be mindful of gas, electric, water bills. I ternet is a set fee. I’m gappy keeping myself busy. So long as i take care of my health… how could disaster befall me?

The first big Calamity would come when you discovered that money does NOT solve all your problems. This will be made even deeper by the reality that all you could talk about right now is how it will solve all your problems.
And that’s just for starters. There’s volumes written about how the sudden influx of unearned wealth his destroy people and those around them.

The biggest thing that it would be able to solve is that i could / would be able to concentrate on the right things. Without that in place, i will never try. And I’m not being hypocritical about this. I’ve been in the very similar place to where you are right now and thought that an influx of money would solve my problems.
Interestingly enough, I only started getting an influx of money when I retired this mindset!
@griz retiring this mindset would lead to exactly one place: home to my parent’s house, on disability… because I’d conclude that the struggle to be on my own, to be financially stable/ independent was never worth it, a fool’s errand for trying. I know can live there the rest of my parent’s lives free and they wouldn’t say a damn thing to me other than “we told you so”

@griz What does one do with tools? Use them. With money being a tool, I’d say “I don’t need to worry about earning, as I can live off others.” Using others is not a noble thing. Not an adult thing. The first tools are the internal ones that we use to build ourselves and put ourselves in order: to build a psyche that can stand up against the existential horrors of self conscious awareness.
If we cannot wheel those internal tools unto effective ends, we will probably just use the external tools to hurt ourselves.
The mindset that you have no choice but to use others is at the root of every Human atrocity and crime.
For someone “traumatized” by the inevitable suffering of The Human Condition you sure seem very determined to add as much unnecessary suffering to it as you can.
