It’s time for the adults to stop bitching at each other and listen to the children. These are our future leaders.
I highly recommend watching all 17 speakers from the Washington DC March. The survivors of the Parkland, Florida organized the march shortly after 17 of their classmates and teachers were murdered. There was 800,000+ at the Washington DC march, with 850+ sister marches all over the globe.

Uhm, no. I don’t listen to children. Cause, they’re children. For the same reason we don’t let them vote, and they eat tide pods. Sniff glue. Don’t have jobs. Never done taxes. Can’t have sex with people. Have a guardian, etc.
I value my Glock over the opinion of every single one of those 17 children.

@Weenis Then you are missing out. These aren’t the kids who are eating tide pods and sniffing glue. They are organizing vote registrations, and many of them will be voting this November. I can smell your sweat already.
I remember you telling a story about your son having an adult type conversation with a neighbor. Do you listen to your kids? Did you tell you neighbor not to listen to your kid, the kid who can’t work, vote, have sex with people, can’t pay his taxes, needs a guardian? (You really don’t know what kids are up to these days do you. You narrowed them down to glue sniffing, podheads. You are so out of touch. You sound like a creepy old geek.)

@Gina Here are a few of the pictures taken on the day of David Hogg’s 2015 graduation from Redondo Shores High School in Redondo Beach, California. Notice the boat masts in the background of the top picture. Those are the masts of the boats docked in the Kings Harbor Marina in Redondo Beach, California. The reason why David Hogg looks younger in these pictures, is because he was 2 1/2 years younger when graduating at 17 1/2. He is now 20 years old. His family moved to Florida, but David Hogg had already graduated from high school. Why would a 20 year old graduate enroll in a Florida high school???

Hogg had visited California in 2017 and witnessed an altercation, about which he made a video blog — a simple fact that was blown out by conspiracy theorists to mean he already lived in Los Angeles and was part of the entertainment industry. (Hogg did live in California, but relocated with his family to Florida before starting high school; he returns to visit every year, as many people do.)

@ladybarbara BTW: This is the lamest of your conspiracy theories. The pic of a young David Hogg with his mom is a close up with no mention of Redondo High, just the same colors. None of the other photos have David in them. Some schools have a graduation for Junior High aka: Middle School. I have been two many of them since I have relatives that live in Calif. It’s the school’s choice to have a cap and gown for graduating from Junior High. The Hogg’s did live in California before David went to High School. I really don’t know what is wrong with you to take such glee in spreading lies, especially lies about young people. It’s absolutely sickening.

I listen to kids at my work. They see things in art we adults may not
@Jear77 I agree. Kids are a lot more open and honest.
The value of children’s opinions are that they are idealists. Eventually, their idealism is usurped by reality, but wouldn’t it be great if we, as adults, could reinforce their idealism by supporting them, rather than trying to convince them that society will pound you into submission.
It has to happen at the micro level through to the macro. Start with a kid, broaden to a generation and maybe eventually each generation will reinforce the next until idealism is the new normal.

I have hope for humanity because I have seen the resilience and perseverance in the eyes of this young generation.
