Have you revisited something that you enjoyed when you were young?

What was that like? Was it as good as you remembered, a letdown; or possibly better than you remembered?

I saw The Blasters last weekend at a sold out show. The last time I saw them I was 23 years old, and I went with my whole soccer team. I jumped on the stage and got pushed off. Good times. No jumping on the stage anymore, but damn! They were still smoking hot! Bonus, a young local rock-a-billy band opened, and now I am hooked on them. I am going to see them next month with another rock-a-billy dude from Montreal as the main act.

I am close to 60, and so was the crowd. It was a crowd of my peers, but we looked good. I attribute that to us all being live music lovers. Don’t stop moving, dancing, and a damn good time. I logged in 1.8 miles on my phone with my dancing that night.

Enjoy The Blasters, So Long Baby Goodbye

One of the true joys of grandparenthood is reliving some of your past.

Tobogganing; just as much fun as when I was a kid.
    Watching cartoons; never gets old
    Playing Jenga; same as ever
Dairy Queen; Banana split still rocks
Playing on the jungle gym and slide; meh?!
