Sorry I’ve been out of pocket. In such a short timeframe so much has changed! Grad school is taking ALL of my time. I recently got a new diagnosis and I’m having trouble adjusting mentally. Halloween night a tornado came through my area and the destruction stopped a block from my house and jumped 3 miles across town and destroyed more stuff. It has been surreal, literally tearing building apart and just stopped right by me!
How has everyone else been? I’ve missed you guys big big!

Well, grad school does take all of your time and efforts, but there will one day be an end to it and rewards for putting your brains to the grindstone.
Diagnosis??? Take it one step at a time. Each step of the way, ask yourself if you can get through this? Then, can you get through this next step? Then, can you get through the next step? Along the way, in a sickness, there are moments of comfort to re-energize for what is to come. The journey through it comes in steps.
A tornado skipped over you and did not rip up your life. You are blessed. May we rub your tummy and see if some of your luck will rub off onto us??? That was a scare, but you got through it and the tornado gods skipped over you. Now, you watch as less fortunate people put their lives back together. If you can help someone, it will be a thank you to the tornado gods, even if it is simply words of comfort.
We will still be here when school is over and life gets back to a balance. We understand that you can only stretch so far. We don’t need you to snap. Just do what you can and at the end of the day — know that you did your best. Sometimes, take time for yourself to breathe and relax. We miss you, but know you are doing what you need to do. Take care of yourself. We will be thinking of you.

That’s a rip-off that you didn’t get to walk down the yellow brick road, but at least they don’t burn witches as much as they used to because they’d all be suspicious you were skipped and make you take tests, way goofier than what you’re doing now.

I am sorry to hear about the new diagnosis. That can be tough. I had a health scare about a year ago and it shook me up quite a but mentally, it can be a real stressor.

Here, I have been working from home, going to grad school and doing a practicum! Life sure is busy and full!

I’m not sure if you knew, but I’m taking in some long-distance University lectures in psychology and philosophy. The prof who is making them available is looking for a way to have students pay for the exam and receive accreditation, though it’s still in the works.
Even if there is no accreditation, I really enjoy the lectures and associated readings.
