This is something I have had to work very hard at, and I have become quite skilled at it. I let people know when it is not okay with me for them to do something. Sometimes, I even preface it with, “It is not okay for you to…(insert the thing that is not okay here). Sometimes if I know the person on the receiving end is not capable of respecting boundaries, I will block them (if they are on the internet) or distance myself from them if they are in real life. I have seen this happen on the internet where I have told a website user that it is not okay for them to hurl insults at me or whatever it is they are doing, and they just keep doing the behavior, so I use that block button!
I simply turn away and get on with life. I don’t set boundaries — as much as I erect an invisible wall of ignoring them. I get a distance between myself and the offending party. I get silent and if they want to get aggressive, I walk away, or go limp noodle and mute. My boundary is that they no longer exist in my world. Thanks to caller ID, I don’t answer their calls. Then, there is that handy-dandy “block” button. I love the block button.
My “wall” of silence has a door in it and the key is facts and logic. They have to be real facts and logic I can see, or it stays locked.
To the north…the border with Canada, there is a boundary.
To the south…the border with Mexico, there is supposed to be a boundary as well…
I find it rather hypocritical that politicians that espouse the idea of “open borders” with no limits to immigration, live in walled compounds and gated communities with security cameras and armed guards patrolling to keep the unwashed undesirables out of their spaces. They have set boundaries for themselves but not for the nation they were elected to serve…HYPOCRITES.
I certainly have every manner of boundary. Including on every manner of situation. Sadly, it has been something I have often been forced to do, so I have a lot of practice at it.
In regards to boundaries and people, as is often done, if someone has access to me today, I am always open to let them in if they are persistent enough. But, to be persistent means they must do what they know they must do.

@five2one i understand the concept, sure. But we haven’t proof of anything beyond the cassino doors – not even at the level of a cohesive story. But for every 1 person whose lives say there is more, there may be a hundred, thousand, or million saying it’s not. If we didn’t have the scientific method in which we were able to perform experiments and thus be able to get the same results time and again, it’d be different. I know i’m not these people, and i can’t experience their reality, but i am certain that I disagree with the background that they base their hope and actions on.

God is pure regardless of whether there is darkness or not. Those made pure by God will remain pure by very definition of the term, even when there no longer is any darkness in the world. Which there will not always be.
When the Breaking Bad guy sold his meth, it was the purity of it which enabled him to take over the markets.
Everyone will see God and Christ, and they will see each other, at that time.
Man & woman have had to have a struggle to that purity, when they reach it, then they are perfect. That is how they become God’s true children. One day, all will be perfect, just as it is in Heaven.
@five2one i was watching the video series that @griz sent me which talked about “maps of meaning” in it, it talked about tiamat and how in this ancient mythology there was a god responsible for both good and evil. Furthermore, there’s a verse which is translated exactly as “i create evil” with god doing the talking. So how can something that created evil be seen as good in any sense of the word?
