How has the pandemic changed your life?

I already work from home, so it has not changed my life much. Now more reasons to stay inside.

  1. How has it changed my life? Not much. I stay at home a lot. The differences are that I usually buy 6 gallons of water a week at our local grocery store. That would be one trip to the store. However, they are rationing the water to one gallon per person, per visit. So now, I have to go to the store six times, and be out of my house six times a week in order to get my six gallon jugs of water.

The other thing that differs from the normal is that when I went to Petco to buy food for my cats, the store staff followed me all throughout the store. It felt like they suspected me for shoplifting, but it was that they had spray and wipes to spray and wipe anything I might have touched. I was careful to only touch the big bag of cat food that I was buying. I paid for my purchase with two $20.00 bills, and the cashier sprayed the two bills with Lysol before putting them in the register. She gave me moist change that smelled like Lysol. That doesn’t happen in “normal” life. I did not complain. I put the moist bills in my pocket.

When I shop at the grocery store, I make sure to wipe the handle of the basket with the wet-wipes at the door. Then, I take two more wet-wipes. At the ATM, I wipe the touch screen and any keys with the wet-wipes before touching the ATM. Then, I use a wet-wipe as a barrier on my hand to open refrigerator doors. Our local grocery store is being strict about keeping all the shoppers six feet apart from one another. Then at the check-out, I am two feet from the cashier. I am not normally that paranoid, or cautious. So that is different about life nowadays.

Also, I like to eat out in a restaurant at least once a week. No dine-in restaurants are open for dining in. I even miss the buffet, where I go down the rows of food trays and select food that other people have been breathing on and poking at. I miss it and life is different, now.

  2. IT’S THE GOD DAMNED FLU!

Go outside, breath fresh air, talk to neighbors, get exercise. All this paranoia is ridiculous.

LIVE YOUR FREAKING LIVES, because guess what – YOU’RE GONNA DIE ANYWAY. AND CHANCES ARE IT AIN’T GOING TO BE FROM THIS STRAIN OF THE FLU.

ALL YOU ANTI-VAXERS AND FLAT EARTHERS ARE A JOKE.
