Pence is a menace, but not nearly like Trump. Trump is the strongest leader we have seen on the world scene in a long time. I find him absolutely disreputable, but I acknowledge he is a strong leader. A strong demagogue is what he is.
Trump isn’t a leader & he Acts strong at a level of overcompensation.
Acting & being are two different things.
Trump is a follower. When he was a democrat, he parroted the main party line, & he still does the same although he flopped over to the other dumb party. He’s just overcompensating because that’s what neoconservatives historically do.
Why would they do that if they were smart? Don’t you get it? They don’t need to. If you think Pence could win in 2020, he could just as easily win in 2024/2028/2032, etc. The GOP doesn’t NEED to swap Trump out for Pence, cause Trump already has 2020 in the bag. Why waste a strong potential presidential candidate when the one they have is already a sure thing?
Also, the GOP wouldn’t do that “if they were smart”, since eating their own wouldn’t result in a 2020 Pence victory.

Pence or Trump only have the 2020 window because of the absurd green new deal.
Pence will only make a dent as big as Romney in future elections at best since he’s going to have to deal with all the baggage he’s collecting for the cult-leader on top of being church-freaky, not that you’d notice.
