If we look at the laws of physics, one wouldn’t be able to remain in a state of maximum potential. Further, had John Lennon not reached his potential, he would probably still be alive. Hence, there is good and bad in reaching potential.

Potential is like the tides of the ocean, ebb and flow…
In 258,763 years I have reached my full potential many times over and I am still in pursuit of my greater potential. (fathering several third world countries not withstanding)…
I reached my potential in 2006. My house cleaning and uniformed maid service had so many clients on the client lists, and so many employees, that I could break up the business and still have everyone winning. From that point, every time one of my employees complained, I sat her down and made her an offer she could not refuse. She was already handling all the work she was willing to do. I would help her get a business license and spin off on a cleaning business of her own —– starting with taking the clients she is already servicing. One by one, all the employees spun off with their own businesses. Some failed. Some grew. I kept in touch with the clients and redistributed them among the successful new cleaning businesses, until every client was happy. Everyone won!!!
The employees that spun off on their own and failed, learned lessons. A few opened up businesses doing things they enjoyed. One liked only windows and opened up a window washing business. Another loved designing closets and went on to design closets for the Hollywood rich. As for me? I had reached my potential and backed off. I was still a maid, but only for a select few clients.
My main client was Chris Tucker and his Mother, Mary. I called her Mother Tucker. I was happy working for them and even had my own little bedroom off of the laundry room. I was earning $35.00 an hour and was quite smug about my position in the household. ——– THEN …… two Mexican ladies showed up on their doorstep and offered to work for $10.00 an hour each. They could do twice the work for less money. What I could do in 4 hours, they finished in 2 hours. I was fired!!!
I had reached my full potential and fell like a shooting star into a blessed retirement. At that time, my roommate/renter lost her job. I gave her my remaining clients and started her off in her own business. My work on this planet was complete. In 2010, I fully retired.
John Lennon was pretty stupid. He thought he was ‘the egg man’, and believed he was Jesus reincarnated, but he was not a very smart, nor old man.
He was an abuser of women, I might mention. And, in general, a pretty bad hypocrite, and shallow man.
The one thing people should reach is eternal life and the Kingdom, which is one and the same thing.
The Kingdom. Has many names. Narnia, Oz, Wonderland. Zion, of the Matrix. And on and on I could go.
It is a world within this one, yet a world above.
“You don’t know a thing, until you get inside”.
I am there. Am I all I can be? No. I live on planet earth, in 2018. At the very edge of the end of the old age. One which is owned by the conglomerate of superpowers which come up from the Abyss…
And the next thousand years will be a struggle. Dark. For most people.
If this world is what you want, you are not reaching your potential.
The next world, the Kingdom, the Other Side, is the potential. But, it is work. It remains to be life. Because of love. As long as the rest of the world lives under the shadow of death, so do you.
We are babysitters.
