is it possible that the aggression and micro aggressions of men towards women are the result of repressed anger and sadness due to the suffering of women?

are the harvey weinsteins of the world suffering from repressed anger and sadness because of the suffering of women? and because it is on a level that they are completely unaware of it manifests itself by inflicting pain on the very creatures whom’s suffering they lament/feel guilty for?

men structured society in a way that hurt women, and women’s suffering at the hands of men has gone on for a great many years. could it be a cycle that men don’t see that when they hurt women they are really hurting themselves? and that men desperately need women to illuminate their minds that are fogged up with fucked up cultural values that de-value women, and that see a woman as domesticity or see her for her figure? could the suffering of women be the cause of repressed anger and sadness in men that comes out in the form of violence against the very being they feel the pain for?

This could certainly be a factor.

But it could also be very effectively applied to the bitchiness/micro-bitchiness women so often direct against men. The most unsavory aspect of this whole social discussion is that it is so sexist-ly one-sided. One side can do no harm, and the other can do no good unless they join leagues with the other side (feminize).

As I’ve pointed out before a considerable factor in the aggression men direct at women is most certainly because they are being so systemically demonized for who they are. The male “organism” is not all that complex. If boys are constantly absorbing the feministic message that they are faulty, beastly, to blame for everything, after a time of trying to “become something else” they are inevitably going to come to a breaking point and lash out according to their “power card” — aggression and physical strength.

Which is not too unlike what women are prone to do. It’s just that their lashing out tends to be more protracted, more psychological, leaving less “proof” it has happened. The stats-books are full of “proof” that men lash out aggressively and physically; or fearful that they might after being pushed and nagged and psychologically assaulted for years, that they run away and “abandon” their post.
But there is zero tracking of the protracted bitching and nagging and psychological assault they might have been subjected to.

It’s all on the bastard beastly men (and boys). And feminist movements “demanding” this change in the way they currently are . . . are actually encouraging and exacerbating the problem.

Women already know what it is like when the “other tribe” systemically diminishes them for who they are.
It’s poignant that they cannot see the same process now flowing the other way.

@griz ummm. no. just no. for starters, why are we using a slur when describing women? can men be “bitchy”, too?
Secondly, women have systematically been denies rights for centuries. change will not happen if people don’t point out the disparities and work to change it.
third, our value is not dependent on how we make you feel. we are not responsible for your feelings. thats your job.
Fourth, I hope you’re not comparing women asserting themselves with something like the metoo movement which illustrates the large scale assault on women that has happened in this country for a great many years.

It is necessary for feminism to believe that men always set out to hurt women in the way they structured Society. It is necessary for “victimhood” processes.

It is more believably just what happened with men busy with affairs outside the home and women busy with affairs inside the home.

My concern is that the “evil” that may have come about quite innocently, is now countered by an evil of intent and scorn and revenge that in some ways can prove more foul than the original buffoonery.

Yes, anyone can be bitchy. Just as anyone can be aggressive for the sake of their hormone-charged feelings. I would propose that it only becomes “a slur”, when one’s conscience is poking them.
Men have a “gift” for aggression, and charging into things head-first. Women have a “gift” for psychological maneuvering.
They are no more slurs, than pointing out that both sexes can become very stinky if they don’t shower. It is just the reality of things.

I’m not against pointing out the disparities. I just think it’s foul when they all go one way, and the reciprocal is never considered. (Which is a textbook definition of modern feminism).

The excuse that this is justified as some form of retribution or payback or “due” for centuries past, really does a disservice to equality.

Each “tribe” has pasts to account for, and a present to do better in.

Pretending one side is all evil and the other side is all victim . . . Is prejudiced.

  2. Humans for the most part are deeply flawed entities pretending to themselves they’re not.
…then there’s the primal urge & society using sex to sell everything from religion to hamburgers keeping the male in a fog of psycho-male-estrus for pretty much his entire modern existence.
I don’t think Harvey frankWeinstein is a piece of shit because of society. He got away with it for awhile beeeeecause of society, but he’s a piece of shit because he’s a piece of shit. That part probably branches off into parents or lack of.
The guy could afford supermodelhookers™ so it’s not a question of frustration.

This is where the femi-men need to bow out and the gentlemen return to the stage. Boys are actively taught by feministic schools, media and mothers to demonize and try to eradicate part of their nature lest they turn into “the accursed object” — which leads to increased and darker more explosive re-surfacing of that nature years later AND directing it at “the tribe” who tried to force them out of it.

Gentlemen are taught to recognize and then control aspects of their nature that can harm others.

And perhaps it’s time for a gentlewoman movement — recognizing and controlling the aspects of a woman’s nature that can and so often do harm others: though not in ways that easily show up in courtroom photos. (But too often played out upon the next weakest gender-group, boys. It really sucks to be a boy in America right now).

What part of male nature are you talking about?
All I get out of this is ‘it’s not like the good old days & women should behave’.

Also,… women don’t have a monopoly on nagging & verbal abuse.

Men are more often ostracized for their own action or an inaction, than the fact that they’re a man, where women are reminded constantly that they’re social standing to men is heavily centered around those men’s reproductive urges to the point of insanity.

No they don’t have a monopoly.

But they have a gift. The same as men have a gift in violence, aggression, stubbornness butt-headedness. We don’t own the rights. But we do it so easily, so naturally.

A longing for that which is past is a useless exercise. Repeating the sexiest mistakes of the past but with different labels is worse than useless exercise.

Consider that what you were getting out of my words maybe what you feel you need to get out of my words. The offering is just an offering. We tend to amend all such offerings to meet our current needs.

And recognizing this (awareness of it), is the first step to not being controlled by it.

If you have indeed just figured out women . . . quick! Write a book.

Because even the Almighty himself might be interested in it!

(Consider that both sexes are driven to control and understand the things which they don’t, and to satisfy the Beast urges of their bodies. They just go about it differently. The same underwear is going around in the washing machine just in a different direction. And there’s no soap or water: so it will come out smelling exactly the same)

Your words are pretty much contradicting themselves.

Both boys & “gentlemen” are taught to recognize and control counterproductive behavior. Why do you try to separate that by pretty much saying 3+1 is not 4 because 2+2=4?
        …then there’s
“A longing for that which is past is a useless exercise. Repeating the sexiest mistakes of the past but with different labels is worse than useless exercise.”
        ……after
“This is where the femi-men need to bow out and the gentlemen return to the stage.”
        …see the contradiction?

Your musing that effeminate men have taken over & need to be replaced with non-effeminate men is some real make-america-great-again bullshit.

This is what I’m getting from your words.

Consider HOW they are currently being taught this by feminism. It is in a spirit of fault and blame. One can arrive at the correct result of 4 in the two ways you mention. But trying to control others through fault and blame tends to produce a lot of undesirable side effects in the factions and resentments it creates.

Which ties into the spirit of nagging; something that even King Solomon related wisdom on thousands of years ago! (And which is rarely mentioned when considering the sheer number of men choosing to walk away from relationships rather than strike out physically at a nagging spouse).

This goes far beyond just America; and I have no cause or reason to play “makeamericagreatagain” games. But those playing games have a need to cast everyone as their enemy according to the board rules they are playing by!

Effeminate and non effeminate? That is like saying the blacks and the non-blacks. It is a dead giveaway to an unbalanced (ie, prejudiced) perspective is at work.

So who are you going to be in trouble with if you dare say gentlemen or “masculine men”?

Why, with the current “ruling party”, oh course!

Equality does not have to be sexist. In fact it cannot be, or it is just oppression.

And a new reciprocal oppression is never a solution for an old or past oppression.

Consider First & most importantly, go down a handful of aspirin or the white tree bark they probably dole out up there, you sound like you might be forming a clot.

Consider If you are equating the metoo-movement with some sort of Gloria Steinem-has-taken-over-the-country so the solution is to get women to tell other women to shut up… CoNsiDeR that Phyllis Schlafly already tried that. Consider that……..

        Consider My favorite part…

Consider you blabbered, “”Effeminate and non effeminate? That is like saying the blacks and the non-blacks. It is a dead giveaway to an unbalanced (ie, prejudiced) perspective is at work.”

        …in response to my

        …in response to your
“This is where the femi-men need to bow out and the gentlemen return to the stage.”

Consider If what I’m saying sounds like blacks & non-blacks to you, what does that then make “femi-men” sound like?

Consider How is that not “a dead giveaway to an unbalanced (ie, prejudiced) perspective is at work” any more than “femi-men” & gentlemen?

Consider How does harmful behavior get corrected without fault or blame? Consider Civilization’s whole judicial system is based on this?
…..just more hyperbole from the current event feedback loop so prevelent

        Seriously,… a handful of aspirin,… go,… now,…

  3. …or perhaps society has it’s priorities screwed up. Too much emphasis is being placed on bull shit that doesn’t have the slightest impact on reality but what society deems is the latest trend(latest scandal).
Truly sad that today’s society thrives on chaos and scandal, that your life is so petty that you have to seek out more strife.

My opinion is that aggression and micro aggression’s come from an anger with oneself and because self flagellation is not in fashion: it is taken out on the nearest, handy, weaker, objective.

@spitfire3dc hmmmm, an anger with oneself. that sorta makes sense. I do think that all behavior has meaning, and everyone has a story, even the darkest criminal. do you believe that even the darkest criminal has potential? does Weinstein have potential?

@Scarlett as I have said many times, everything starts with a genuine want.

Does Weinstein want to be a decent human being? He might because he knows what the alternative is by being found out. Does that influence a genuine want to be decent. Not necessarily in my opinion. It is a defensive reaction, versus a self determined proactive one.

What has he been conditioned to want in the first place? The accouterments of power and especially the one that suggests he is entitled to everything. That is a very hard thing to back away from once a person has actually experienced a reinforcement in reality.

Everybody is capable of rehabilitation, but it is a much longer process to shape away from habitual habits that switch our chemistry on and off. His age may be to his advantage. Maybe he is worn out enough and doesn’t have the energy to continue acting out his fantasies.

The only way this creep can reach what really is all of our potential, is give everything up that society tells him is important and spend the rest of his life in humility and service. The shock of discovery that that will actually result in a happier life might shake him out of the consumptive sickness that he has “suffered” from.

Another thought that comes to mind is the issue of respect. I think most of society’s ills are the result of a need for respect. How we manifest that sense of feeling respect has two poles. At one end, humiliate others in the negative sense to feel it, and the other, to humiliate ourselves in the positive sense where we give it to feel it. The distance between the poles is very far and I suspect that Mr. Weinstein will have difficulty in wanting to traverse towards the opposite pole.
