@immortal_pirate the question of religious beliefs shouldn’t be “did this happen?” Whether or not something happened that is discussed in a specific religious text is immaterial to the discussion at hand, but rather “what idiot creates evil, knowing fully what’s being created?” It’s much the same as if Dr Frankenstein knew the problems his monster would cause and proceeded to create it anyways… and then trying to blame the villagers for his monster terrorizing them. Instead of accepting the blame for evil, God attemped to shift the blame to another set of creatures he created: man, and the snake, then some many generations sent his son for an atoning sacrifice when he could’ve avoided creating evil to begin with! If these were the only facts known about god, would anyone worship him? I don’t think so!
