As I write this, I am fighting back the tears welling up in my eyes, reminded of the many souls I have known and lost to conflict.
That was a beautiful song. You have seen wars and atrocities of war. You have experienced pains that we cannot imagine.
Once death comes, the fighting is over. Like the song says, “I am standing on the mountain” and the great what-comes-next will be peaceful.
