had a friend that liked to name his years. As you reflect back on 2018, please name your year. I haven’t decided yet, was thinking of three contenders;
1) this bastard
2) gossamer
3) untitled
@Jear77 Home again may be the taking over of the care of the parents, until you run out of parents and take over the house. Then, you can get renters to rent the bedrooms and there you are — your own house and your own life.
Of my 48 years, this year was certainly a challenge, though my years have been full of many terrible and wonderous things. This life, and the past ones.
This year was the worst, in a sense, but it also brought me across the threshold I had needed.
I bled out, and ended up in the physical hospital for doing so. I had a hole in my stomach, and my stomach acids were eating into my internal organs, so I was bleeding internally so much that I could not stop shitting and vomiting blood.
I was institutionalized twice.
I lost my job of five and a half years, after having a new boss come in, who was as the devil himself. I saw hell in new levels of horror I had actually not seen before.
*shrug*
All that is long gone, and I got a fifty percent raise, on top of it. I still telecommute.

@ladybarbara that’s awful! Who wants to see their parents suffer?!
@Jear77 No one wants to see their parents suffer, but you do want to be around to make sure they are cared for.
