There is a manga and anime named One Punch Man. The idea behind the story line is that he can beat literally anything with exactly one punch if he goes all out. The reason why he is able to not be beaten is because he was able to completely eliminate, remove all of his physical limitations by doing 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats and a 10 mile run daily (i forgot for how long).
What could you do if you were able to remove all your limits, not just physical, but all aspects of who and what you are?

Limitations CAN do this — if this is all we let them do.
But they can also be used to encourage us to exceed them as much as is currently possible — and to respect when we reach limits that are not currently ready to exceed.
Reaching proverbial Nirvana before we have the assets to flourish there . . . is very much like a premature baby, thrust into the physical world before they have the assets to flourish there.
@griz the guy experiences apathy because he can beat literally anything. But to me it’s just a reversal of the typical shonen tropes, nothing more.

But there is traction there for the realization that challenges and limitations are in a way, good motivators for us in our current form.
Provided we are not misusing them to imprison or crush ourselves.
@griz but his concern is not to do heroism for the sake of doing right. It’s more or less that anyone he fights is simply in his way and won’t move.

So we are back again to the fundamental difference between servicing just self, and servicing something greater than just self.

@griz not necessarily. It could be simply because whoever gets in his way simply wants a challenge, and don’t really realize how exactly powerful he is. He basically has to hold back his full strength, as there’s property damage (and damage to the land its) from the fights. One theory on the internet states his full strength would be to recreate the big bang.
