I seem to have a lot of pictures of sky and it was hard to pick one. Maybe because I think all sky is my sky.
Came across this sky while out walking a trail, but if you haven’t seen a Prairie sky; you ain’t seen nuthin’. I’ll find one only, just for the record.
Prairie sky no. Just wanted to share what those skies look like. I have seen that sky without a cloud in it on the Prairies. It’s totally breathtaking over a field of wheat. The physical sensation to being there can only be describes as feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere and everywhere simultaneously.
@spitfire3dc I almost always take pics of train tracks when I see them. I love the train tracks, the trains, and the sounds they make. I love the marriage of the train tracks with the sky.
@Scarlett Train track hold some special meaning to me too. We used to live in house that had a track running directly behind us. While some people seemed to hate the racket, I, for some strange reason, loved it. I’d hear a train and want to be close enough to watch and hear the rhythum of the click clack clunk. Music.
The visual of the tracks going off in the distance strikes a chord with me too. whether straight or curved I love the symmetry. I like the fixed target with a course set and I love that a team effort created it physically, for the efficiencies it offers over the long term.
This is what I like about this site. It forces me to find the words that express what I’d be just thinking in the broad view. I try to be sincere about being honest about it. What am I thinking and then to myself mostly; why do I feel that way?
