A friend of mine popped some pcp and opiates, ended up not eating for a few days, and into a psych ward after getting detoxed at a hospital. She came out of that and now has told me she believes she has lived multiple lives, and famous ones at that.
She thinks she was the wife of Moses. Jesus’ girlfriend, Mary Magdalene. The old widow that helped out Elijah. And Pamela Courson, the gf of Jim Morrison.
She also believes that she is yet to find her soulmate in this lifetime but whoever it will be, will be “the one”.
I do not know if she still believes this, but she has told me before that she thinks the Mormons are right on a few things, and one of those things is that God had a wife before creation. Before even the angels were created.
She claimed that the holy trinity is father, son, holy ghost, where the holy ghost is God & Jesus’ helper spirit.
As the Mormons explained, she believes that God and the children from before creation keep this deeply secret.
She also says other really crazy shit, like that Satan is the cherub assigned to protect the tree of life and is actually a good guy and friends with Jesus. And actually the angel of Jesus, the guardian protector of Jesus.
She believes God lives in the black hole at the beginning of time, saying that is the darkness God is said to live in. She claims behind that darkness is where God and the gods live, a place where there is neither day nor night.
She claims she got these ideas on her own and from her boyfriend, a real bad loser sort.
I do not think any of this is good or true, myself. It is all incomprehensible insanity. It is only because she keeps repeating these things I have even been able to write it down.

You have an exciting and entertaining friend. Who is to say that what she believes is true or not? It is true for her and brings her comfort to think she was all these famous people. If she is anything, she is fun to listen to. Who needs a soap opera when you have such a friend. You know that her life will continue to swirl in circles and you will have to listen to more of this and pick her up when she falls.
The reason why I say this drew me in like a good bag of tacos is because my guy is the Immortal Pirate. ——– Key word, “Immortal” and came from another planet 258000 years ago.

You left out the part that identified the actual problem.
As long as her beliefs influence her behaviour to be productive, or at the very least, not counter-productive I don’t see any issues.
All i see here is a person who has a belief system that may guide them and nothing in particular that would cause harm to those around her.
Drugs cannot NOT affect a brain. All narcotics are chemicals that our own bodies are capable of producing and the high comes from the exaggerated response of the stupidly high dose that the drug, when taken manually, contributes to our neureopathy.
There is no doubt that her brain isn’t functioning efficiently and trying to tell a person whose brain isn’t working that their brain isn’t working can only be done by a person that the defective brain trust so implicitly that they will take the word of their ‘adviser”
As long as she isn’t hurting anyone, including herself, let her espouse her beliefs because you can’t prove she isn’t right.
I’d have a different opinion if she was leading a country.
The drugs probably altered her mind – hopefully not permanently though! I know someone who did some drugs and pretty much lost their shit for about a month. While they were being crazy, they don’t remember doing the things that people told them they did. This person voluntarily donated valuable items to Goodwill and declared that they wanted to be a homeless person – without even clothes, so they were naked sitting on the sidewalk before being convinced that they should at least put on some shorts. Some of it was recorded, and when they saw themselves doing things that the “knew” they did not do, they had another episode having to come to term with their actions. They ended up going sober and going to therapy and they are fine now. But drugs can really do a number on a person.
This person also said crazy things. This person claimed that they could speak to the creators of the universe and that it was not god but several beings that controlled every aspect of our lives. They claimed that one of these gods was going to teach them how to communicate with animals to learn about earth’s oldest secrets and reverse the effects of extinction. There were other things that were said but these come to mind.
As a friend, you could just be there for them even through they are rambling insane gibberish. Encourage healthy choices and hopefully their mind will begin to stabilize and return to rational though. Though I do hear that sometimes after people suffer mental breakdowns due to drugs, they don’t return to their normal selves.

My prejudice says, based on her notion that she’s only the love interest of more dominant grandiose figures, she’s the kind of girl that let’s decisions be made for her.
So you couuuld take her away from the real bad loser, but who wants that kind of high maintanance?

Until they become convictions.
Including the conviction that most of one’s existence lies in the past, rather than right here now in this moment.
