You have a wooden ship called The Stinky Wind. You sail wherever you want since you are King of the 7 Seas. Eventually parts of your ship are weakened from battle, weather, etc. You start to replace those parts with new parts. So, over time, all pieces of The Stinky Wind have been replaced.

What if all of the old pieces were gathered together and put back together? Wouldn’t this ship be The Stinky Wind? What would the other one be called?

Labels are ideas, where the idea as a whole isn’t dependent on physical attributes.
Like talking to a picture like you’re talking directly to the person or thing in the picture.
To me, the ship that was put back together wouldn’t be usable, so it’d be more of a memorial to broken parts, or a promotion for glue.

Immortal Pirate’s ship is named “The Anne Bonny”. Nothing has broken on it and all rigging is still like new.
I have served aboard many ships and captained many others. Parts are replaced on ships all the time, and those ships retain their given names. Collecting used or worn out parts of the ship is a waste of time, but those parts would be called salvage scrap…nothing more.
