I just saw the headline that Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries died at 46. I loved her voice, and so many of the Cranberries songs. I loved to sing at the top of my lungs to Zombie. That came out at time I was heavy into fighting for my rights as an American citizen.
Ode to My Family. This song seems appropriate for the moment. Dolores died much too young.

I remember hearing Linger as a kid. Her voice was very unique. About six months ago, I heard Zombie covered by Miser on a music channel and enjoyed it. I thought it was a cover and pulled up the original after. Love the original too. Both were added to my Spotify playlist. I haven’t heard many The Cranberries songs, but I enjoy the two I know. I should go back and listen to some more at some point.

The whole Cranberry album, No Need To Argue is classic.
@Gina Sorry took so long to respond. I got the flu, had like a 102 fever when I woke up on that first day. Thought I was dying, but I’m all good now.
Forgot about the song, Dreams. I know of that one as well. Just listened to the album. I enjoyed it. Liked Ridiculous Thoughts. I particularly liked the instrumental part of Yeats’ Grave. Not saying the singing was bad at all, but the instrumentals caught my attention big time. Her singing in the song No Need To Argue stood out though. Great band. Damn shame.

The passing of Dolores is so sad.
When I was getting ready to march last Saturday, the first song I put on was The Cranberries, Zombie. The first song I heard at the march was a group of young ladies singing Zombie. I held my sign high singing Zombie with a bunch of brothers and sisters, while slowly walking through my city, That was a great way to spend a Saturday.

Zombie is a great song, especially for that type of setting. Pretty cool how people at the march had the same idea. Sounds like a pretty wonderful time. I mean, aside from the need to be there because of the current administration, but the way that people can mobilize in such a big way in unity across the country is amazing.
