I got my tickets to opening weekend of Black Panther. I am not a huge fan of the super hero genre as it’s gotten kind of boring. But I am super excited for this film. Here is the first video from the soundtrack by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. It’s quite beautiful. The movie is already breaking records for their pre-orders for the film.

MIGHT catch it on Amazon, not theater, but doubt.
Anything that was formerly “Stan Lee” is an automatic “see” for me.
Here’s to hoping the Disney mush-peddlers keep it true to the original!
@griz Stan Lee gave it his blessing. He has the traditional cameo in it, and he appeared at the premiere. This has 100% rotten tomatoes (which is a good thing, means all critics gave it a great review.)

I see and respect this.
He’s made his millions and sold the franchise — so in a way to not endorse it is to admit he made a mistake.
I still cannot forget that one of the first things Disney did with the franchise was to chibi-size the X-men! I’m sorry, but in NO alternative reality were Wolverine and Professor Xavier and Storm meant to be short and cute with grossly over-sized eyes!
But yes, I plan to see the movie! In fact, I think it would be awesome to go and see it with all of you lot! There’s nothing like seeing a movie with a group of your friends!

Not in the modern sense of the understanding. Social Justice Warrior today means fighting against white males, for women to think their men and vise versa, for people who are citizens of other countries to live in America, and for women to have the right to murder their baby whilst having the rest of america pay for it.
It’s kind of funny to think that guys like Moses, David, Solomon, and Jesus were the original Social Justice Warriors… seems like ideals have greatly changed since then. Like maybe a 180 degree difference.

I hope to, at least a couple weeks after release. Not a fan of a packed theater. I get Black Panther is pretty important and has cultural significance, and I like that, but I kind of feel a little bad for Ant-Man. The trailer for the new one released a day from the Black Panther premier. I really enjoyed the first Ant-Man, and the second ones trailer got completely overshadowed by Black Panther. To be honest, I find it odd that they are releasing three Marvel movies between now and early July. Meanwhile, I have to wait until 2020 for The Flash movie. So sad. Oh well. I bet Black Panther is pretty incredible. Dude stole the show along with Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, so this should be no different (well, better actually.)
@yin I am not a fan of a packed movie theater either, but I got tics in one of those theaters where they took out all the seats and installed recliners. It’s way less people, and it’s so comfortable. You pick your seat in advance. We are in the last row n the back, in the middle…perfect!
Ant-Man will get his time, but I agree; Black Panther is so significant it’s overtaking everything. I can’t wait for A Wrinkle in Time in March!!!!
@Gina That sounds nice. We are just stuck with a regular theater that seemingly has free for all for the seats. I have never seen assigned or picked in advanced seating. It is just go in and find some. I ain’t got time for putting a puzzle together before watching a movie, lol. I usually go for one of the aisle seats. Only the one side of me has the potential to be taken by strangers. :) I saw pictures of some theater with like beds in them or something. I ain’t even… Nope. I saw Jumanji like three weeks after release and the theater was still pretty full. It was crazy. I have no idea how long I should be waiting for Black Panther. I assume ticket sales blow Jumanji out of the water. Oh well. I’ll figure it out, or suffer a little. Whichever.
