can a person be spiritual and not know it?
do you consider your self a spiritual person?
what is your opinion of a person who professes to be “religious” versus one who states they are spiritual but not religious?
do you associate with either? would either of these statements cause you to disconnect yourself with the person?

@luftballooneyegouge if you meet someone and they talk to you about God in the religious sense, how do you feel about that?

It doesn’t bother me. The best is when you listen and they start to leave you churchy gifts like the Watchtower and little weird printed church pamphlets. There was a form they gave me to mail order some Jehovah Witness’es’s to come over and visit, & I threatened all my friends that’d I’d give out their addresses if they didn’t stay in line.

Almost every ideological performed religiously enough, produces this effect.

Like the target of a viral process trying to reproduce itself in me.
And like a biological virus, most carriers don’t realize they’ve been infected.
So that tempers how I respond to them ( which is much different than just reacting to them).
And I can afford to do this because my immune system in such things, is robust.
(Which I can credit to Jesus, without going viral all over people!)

I strongly believe that everyone is. Without it we could not entertain the thought that finite life is somehow unfair! We would be patently unable to ponder The Human Condition, as we apparently have since times ancient.
So I would say that I yam what I yam (spiritual, with credit to Popeye for the quote!)
In further proposed that the more I try to consciously avoid this fact, the more incongruities and dis-harmonies (mental illness?) will appear within me.
Religion is a human ideological construct: which interestingly enough tends to crank out ideologues, if one does it religiously enough.
It is essentially the flesh (the finite) trying to control the spirit (the infinite) unto playing by its rules.
It is an internal imbalance and will result in the same incongruities and internal illnesses.

it depends on my mood. Sometimes it can come across as the worst parts of a “timeshare rental sales pitch,” whoop-de-lah spiritualism, and carrot and stick combined. Other times it’s lesd grating

All the time.
I tend to find many more true Christians among the agnostic and atheist, then in churches.
People outside that world, do not realize nobody in that world actually reads what Jesus said and did it. Really, it is that crazy. Flesh can not comprehend Spirit is how that very odd reality exists

As spiritual as a person gets. However, I am in incarnate flesh. Not as an angel who can be temporarily in the flesh. They are more spiritual then myself. And there are a lot of them.
The worldly think they have their future in the palms of their hands, and God, Jesus, angels, resurrected dead and all… non-factors.
Yet, everyone is already down on the ground. There is a lot of traffic going up and going down.

Semantics. Usually I like to say I am spiritual, and against organized religion in churches. Because I believe just about anywhere else is better.

I work for the Kingdom of Heaven. The CIA work was just a well crafted cover. And the hacker professional.
It is hard to say what, in my daily and nightly life, has not been a cover.
I kind of feel coming out of that not unlike a worm coming out of a cocoon… or merely unwrapping from a difficult and confusing outfit.
Anyway, point being… if the bad ones repent, I am open for that. Unless we are talking about ‘satan and his angels’, because they have to go or that group would blow up the earth to maintain their power.

The first one is a fool and the second slightly less.
