what can you teach us or tell us that will help us the rest of our lives?
I would tell you a life hack that works. change your password to something you need to work on. for instance, if you need to forgive yourself for something, change your password to “Iforgiveme”. Need self esteem, “imsmart” . need to forget someone and move on with your life? “terrysucks”. Wellllllll,,,,,anyways, it works by re-wiring your brain. Neuroplasticity! It works!

When you are driving and want to scream at a moron, force yourself to be observant of three other people who show courtesy.
Oh, Mrs Red Honda Civic, very nice lane change. Way to go Mr. Corvette, a turn signal BEFORE you put on the brakes as you approach the intersection. Thank you Mr. Truck driver for not driving the same speed beside that other truck, while you are in the left lane, even when you had no intention of making a left up ahead.
I think that may be another version of your neural plasticity approach.
@spitfire3dc I love this! An exercise in gratitude.
@Scarlett it calms me and forces me not to dwell on moronic behaviour which can really affect my mood.
TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY THEY WANT TO BE TREATED
@Fletch
So we should whip all sadists and give pity to pity-partiers?
@griz
if that’s how they want to be treated, why not?
@Fletch
It may be the equivalent of taking advantage of someone when they’re down.
Plus if it’s not something you would normally do, they are at that point exercising control over you.
@griz
just treat people the way they want to be treated and everyone benefits
nothing too deep, not too complicated, easy to remember.
might even put a SMILEY on your face
@Fletch
He’s already there!
(But I still don’t run around helping people hurt themselves because it might be what they think they want in that moment!)
It is fine to have emotions and urges, even those relating to our more primitive animal ancestry (fear, anger, selfishness etc) . . . but not for them to have you!
I think I could teach people imagination
Cloud Bread !!! Put 3 egg whites in a bowl and add 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Whip the egg whites until they are holding peaks. Put the 3 egg yolks in another bowl with a dash of salt and 3 tablespoons of softened cream cheese. Beat them until blended. Now, add the yellows to the beaten whites. Spoon the mixture on a parchment paper lined baking sheet (just like cookies — but they will be runny) Bake them at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes, or until golden. They are egg, but in a low carb diet it is like having a little bread with your meal.
