When I ate cabbage and Brussels sprouts, which I craved while pregnant, he would get rowdy and kick me in the stomach. He loved music and the songs of the Beatles (And I Love Her) would make him calm down. So, of course, that was the song I sang to him once he was born. He was a cesarean section birth and never got into the birth canal. He was cut from my belly on the breakfast table with Granny’s kitchen knife. The Doctor did the cutting. We were snowed in and if the baby was not removed, we both would have died within minutes. We were in a remote shack in the hills of West Virginia.
My second child was calmer in the womb. For his birth, we had a cesarean section done on the day of my choice. He was removed from my belly in Bad Constatt, West Germany.
A baby has rights while still in the womb. I disagree with abortions after the first 2 1/2 months of pregnancy. Abortion is murder.
@Gina Exactly right. But, I might add, DON’T stop another woman from getting and abortion. Every woman has her own health reasons and financial reasons to not carry a baby to term. I stay out of other women’s rights and desires. Someone elses business is none of my business. Although, there was a pre-suicidal teen ager who was drastically in trouble with her parents. I took her to the clinic (Planned Parenthood). There, she got counseling and she decided she needed an abortion. Once her decision was made, I supplied the money for the abortion and all comforts. Then I returned her to her parents and I took the blame, because her parents had to be angry at someone. The girl went back to school and went on with her life. She learned a lesson.

@luftballooneyegouge I saw part of it. I saw the cute baby floating by and drooling. I don’t need a video from right wing nuts telling me how magical my birth canal is. I already know how magical women are. All our parts.
@Weenis If we make it illegal again, rich people (including the conservatives who say they are “pro-life” will still have safe abortions). Poor people will be forced into back alleys. We can’t go back to that. How about promoting safe sex?
If it’s illegal, and people do it illegally, you punish them.
That’s how laws work.
Also, if it’s murder, you don’t legalize it because there are some class differences in how people have access to murdering people.
This class distinction exists, it’s called a hitman vs doing it yourself in a back alley. Should we legalize murdering each other because of the class differences?
