   On March 7th, we went to the Phoenix Highland Games. There were the games, food booths, and booth-tents selling just about anything Scottish. People were packed close and tight. We sat at a table where many others were elbow-to-elbow eating with their fingers and sharing food. The coming pandemic did not phase anyone.

   Then, I was waiting in a long line to purchase a vest at the kilt tent. I may have been 3rd or 4th in line. The man behind me began to cough and sneeze wildly. He apologized, saying he was allergic to the grass we were all standing on. But I, with my odd sense of humor, said to him, “You have been coughing and sneezing ever since you returned from your trip to China.” —— Others in line stepped away from the guy!!! His wife explained that they had just come off of a cruise ship, but had not been visiting China. He continued to cough and sneeze. The sales manager decided to pull me out from the middle of the line and handle my purchase of the vest —– just to get rid of me and my loud mouth and morbid humor. Oh well, it got me away from the sneezer.

   Then, I heard that the incubation period for this virus is 21 days. I have been counting the days to March 28th. I have had a little chest congestion, but no fever, or other symptoms. I get the chest congestion every Spring with the flowers and pollen. I have a very strong immune system. I am keeping my distance from everyone, except Immortal Pirate.

      @ladybarbara good idea on distancing… yeah, i would avoid such jokes now. I have some allergies and know how ppl might react. I think you show symptoms sooner then 21 days, but not sure.
