There is no magic in this world, but for a very few. And usually the magic they come across is such as they forget it after witnessing it. This is not the world of God, but God will use this world and expel the founders of it.
(They have already been expelled from Heaven and trapped on earth.)
Immortality is not here for the world, as people do not want it. They want to go to an imaginary place in the sky, instead of on earth, as is what is really (and very clearly so) said.
Likewise, cures for diseases, poisons, war, and the like. Indeed, there exists no cures for the evil of the world. In the world. But, only by magic, which is by Heaven. But people are tricked into believing they should only prefer cures that come from earth.
It will not happen. There won’t be an anti-death pill. There won’t be anti-aging science. There won’t be science made superheroes to save poor folks from their dilemmas. There won’t be science made cures for crime, war, or poverty.
Indeed, the name we are first introduced to Satan of and his real name, is the Destroyer. This is when he is sent to kill the firstborn of Egypt. People have literally been tricked into worshipping and following the Destroyer as the Prince of this World.
The power of this world is in the capacity for destruction. They sexually harass, they rape, they steal, they murder. Everyone being immortal is the last thing they want.
We have all seen it and understood that definition of “power”. The power over people not to heal them, but to lord it over them, to make them suffer, to hurt them, even to destroy them completely.
A huge backstory has been shaped since two thousand years ago to finally get us to this place.
People complain about God not saving them, but they spend their lives following after Satan who destroys them.
There are sayings that help alleviate these truths from people, such as “magic is merely future technology not as yet known”. But, the definition we ultimately hear from people is, “The natural world is all there is, the supernatural does not exist”. Though, this makes no sense, it is what everyone accepts.
I certainly enjoy series and movies about magical beings, be they superheroes or be they even super robot beings. Be they magicians or whatever else. But, if you have no magic in your life, then these are just adornments to your prison cell.
You can fight for just causes, be that Democracy or Communism, or disarming the people and militia. You can fight to discover the cure to cancer, to everything. Or find unlimited energy.
Whatever it is, you will grow old, and that is bad, and eventually die. Even if you do make it to the finish line — it won’t work.
As the Cohen song goes, “Everybody Knows”, “the bad guys won”.
Only, no, they did not. There is magic, and the bad guys – spirits who do not die, but can be destroyed and will be destroyed – spirits who watch and lived for millenia… they are already on the losing side of the field. The game is in the fourth quarter and they have no hope of winning any longer. They continue to try, because this is all they have. But, this world they helped shape will be taken from them. And the dreams they gave laced with dark lies will have the lies dispelled. While the good dream that laced the poison survives.
They inherit the wind. More specifically, blue lava.
If you have never witnessed magic and do not try for it: you are doing something wrong. As today even you can find it to save others. All you have to do is want it. And that partly means realizing you need answers not from your own mind, but from Heaven.
As realizing your own limitations allows you to really want that magic. And really wanting that magic means you sincerely seek it out of love. Not conceit, not vanity.
Finally, you may hate folks like Hitler and Trump, but these folks are products of the modern, anti-magic world. Stalin, Pol Pot, too. And J Edgar Hoover. All the bad guys.
