I have a hard time watching comedians bomb. Or when they go way over the line with racist comments or just being mean. This isn’t silly, but it becomes unwatchable to me. Also comics who do impressions. Big deal, everyone can do impressions, so they are boring.
To answer my own question, I was watching the sequel to the Naruto Anime Boruto, and it was getting pretty silly and so had to turn it off. I might try watching it when I need to lighten my mood.
if its silly enough to make me giggle ill watch it. but if its just stupid and i am more uncomfortable or irritated than amused (american pie types of movies) then im out.
Mean spirited jokes repel me. It is not funny. It is simply mean. Racist jokes are not really funny. I turn away and turn off on jokes about the President. Bathroom jokes are not funny.
I grew up on regular doses of 3 Stooges, Mel Brooks, and Monty Python.
I can not just endure, but enjoy some pretty silly shit! (If in the right mindset!)
Touching on @halfbreed comment below, bombing comedians for me is like listening to squeeky balloons. But often what makes them “bomb” is too poignant a display of their dysfunctions — resulting in seriously off-color, mean, racist displays they try to pass off as humor.

Usually the more ridiculous, the better. It’s the problem I have from growing up in the Jim Carrey and MTV Jackass era.
