The exact nature (or super-nature?) of love is one of life’s greatest mysteries.
It’s perhaps THE greatest singular mystery (as per 1 Cor 13:13).
It ties into perhaps the most preeminent human feeling; but then we wax arrogant and perhaps start thinking “feelings” is all that it’s about.
Love particularly in the English language is a word that has so many meanings and mis-meanings that further confound an issue already confounded by feelings.
But the greatest wisdom traditions of our species assert something akin to the notion that Love in its purest ultimate manifestation is eternal and transcends all: perhaps even time.
And then add a cautionary addendum. If there was an agenda motivated by the desire to bring everything to an ultimate dead end, there would be great profit in convincing us love is as temporary, fickle and fleeting as a self-serving feeling in the moment.
