We All Have One Enemy Now — How Will The Virus Change the World

One more, as I rarely visit.

The world is full of many polarities arguing against each other. Right and left, religious and atheist, and countless subpolarities… but now, we all have just one enemy. And everyone has to get on the same page, or they will be utterly humiliated. (For instance, what will happen to the ‘virus is a hoax’ prime minister of Brazil, when the disease flares up there…)

This is an unifying event.

Besides the virus we have “the cure” in the form of economic devastation riding close on the heels of the disease. So yet another reason for everyone to become unified in their common enemy. It is enemies, in the plural. [Still, there is a singularity there.]

A good “for instance”, President Trump has to say what the “Mass Media” is saying, or he will severely screw things up. He has made lies, but he has the ability to make people forget those lies.

What will our world look like after we have globally faced “the Curve”, and found ourselves in a weakened global economy? Will this event change the oceans of fighting polarities? Will this unification of cause lead to a worse system? Or, will humankind learn from this struggle, and come out more sane, more rational?

  2. @five2one found it

Really was a spy, really am a top notch good guy hacker (securing things, not destroying), and really have worked indirectly and unofficially with several 3 letter agencies. Not that this is a big deal. But i post that because very likely somebody here is a spy for russia and or china

    1. @Fletch That’s not “who I am”. Also, I worked directly with a government agency. Not that this matters at all.

I posted such a thing because I was overly paranoid, at the time.

I do not mind clarifying: I was a top hacker who had international fame. I talked with Chinese top hackers. Some of them had information about their government’s hacking. I gave that information to an American intelligence agency.

A mildly interesting factoid. It is not “who I am”.

Only reason I was posting such nonsense was because I was paranoid there were spies everywhere. Not a terrible position to take. If there are not, no damage. If there are, fun.
