What effect do you think it would have on society if every newscast had to have at least one story like this in it a day?
** this is a mobile app link. If it doesn’t work on your PC try removing the”beta” from the URL. Or Google the title of the article. It’s very worth the extra effort

Wow. The real tragedy of war. The emotional combination of pure joy at seeing him, coupled with emotions associated with time lost and agony experienced, All on you in a single moment. Fuck war!!
@spitfire3dc
War sucks. But those who don’t let it defeat them are awesome!
And this boy has that potential.
After endurng all that he did, he was the one wanting to comfort his mother over the phone.
He has the potential to be a true overcomer; provided the adults around him don’t encourage him to hate those who hated him. Or to become their perpetual victim
@griz You make a good point. It is hard to understand how, after what this kid has gone through, he brought his good cheer to the party. The resilience of childhood even when its torn away forcefully.
My oversensitivity towards race issues has me offended that the one kid they show rescued from ISIL in Iraq, is a light-haired caucasian.
I look forward to changing the name of the school they name after Uncle Steve.

I can see how such oversensitivity could be a burden!
Maybe you could use your emotions to protest them naming the school after Uncle Steve before it is finalized?
Just watch out for dem devlin’ emotions trying to use you!
@griz
The watermelon must be struck while the mallot is hot!(?)
STOP UNCLE STEVE NOW
While dark haired kids remain in conditions similar to Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom, light haired kids are plucked away like the pretty dolphins at Taiji.
and Uncle Steve is the kid plucker.

The nerve of the Iraqi army! Rescuing a politically-incorrect child!
