My step mom has a rose and now a winter storm named after her. The flower is beautiful but can be a little prickly. And I was so proud of the way Valerie came charging in from the Pacific, jumped over the Rockies as if they weren’t even there before laying a right powerful s***-kickin’ on Wyoming! She blew and moaned and shut the state down for almost 2 days. And when she left to go piss on Nebraska she left piles of debris and overturned cars in her wake. You go girl!
Serves them right for getting in her way!
As a “Craig”, all I have named after me is a jutting pile of rock. If they ever do name a storm or even a hurricane after me I would be secretly rooting for it!

There is a bougainvillea called Barbara Karst. We have a Barbara Karst, which has a rich red color, growing next to our driveway. But no really good storms are named Barbara. Also, no really great storms are named Stinky, so my days on Earth will pass without a namesake.
