To me a strict code of conduct where people are forced to be something that they are not, cannot be, will not ever be is a strategy for losing, whereas a life of freedom allows you to not worry about what’s allowed, per se – and if something goes wrong because of your actions… oh well – that’s life!

I find there’s an awful lot of binary extremist thinking, about things where a balanced approach is the obvious solution. I think ideologies blind people to this.
Some things are archetypal truth and ought not to be compromised on.
Some things are good guidelines, set aside only with extreme sobriety.
But we have a very great freedom in a lot of things, to play and explore looking for that ideal balance between what is permissible and what is beneficial.
Wisdom is what discerns between them.
Jesus said not to worry. The strict code of contact is bullshit you are promoting.
I am sure you follow it, I am random and free, you show yourself as anything but.
I am as random and as free as the character Deadpool.
Jesus taught the very opposite of what you are preaching for us to learn.

to answer my own question
I do what I want… within limits, either because I don’t want the consequences, am not an asshole, or I’m simply too lazy to do what I want (i.e. I need 8 hours of sleep nightly.) You say you’re free? can you kill someone in broad daylight without anyone saying anything to you? Can you steal something expensive – let’s say a diamond necklace, or a priceless piece of art with people watching and no one care? I’m not saying you WANT to do these things, but unless you COULD if you wanted to, I’d say you’re not free.
