@five2one I believe I read that as part of high school literature. Also watched the film, but it has been some time ago. Don’t recall how it ended. I should watch again!
Hacksaw Ridge. It bothered Lady Barbara when we saw the movie in the theater, that she got up and left the auditorium. As war movies go, it was probably the most realistic depiction of battle and carnage. I, having been in war, was able to watch the movie with no problem, but it was very graphic.
The Passions of Christ was very graphic and invoked deep emotions.
The Last Temptation of Christ was a complete work of fiction, although it brought up many “what if” scenarios that Christ may have faced when He was on the cross. I remember all the objections that came from religious groups when the movie first came out. Objections that were raise without even viewing the film…hypocrites.
Hacksaw Ridge was so alarming that I got up and went to the restrooms to throw up and linger in the lobby.
Apollo 17 was so stupid!!! I went to see it because my Mom had worked on the door seals in the Apollo Project. She did the electronics for the door seals to the cabins and compartments. I think the Apollo Program ended with Apollo 16 — so I was curious about a movie about Apollo 17. Rocks that turn into spiders insulted my intelligence. The movie was stupid!!!

Mel Gibson’s the Passion of Christ. Even though I no longer believe, that level of brutality is sickening.

I just finished, ‘the secret life of walter mitty’.
It was pretty disturbing.
But, I had seen it before, so I knew how it ends…

This one was deep and beautiful. The older one was silly.
