Mine is and has been since it has come out, Goo Goo Dolls Iris.
I was tempted as a kid to give up forever so that I could show people the light I had in me. Save them, even if it meant damn myself. That haunted me for years.
Multiple friends helped me understand this song, which further bonded me to them. And helped me see who they really are.
Above even that that is “the song of the Lamb and Moses, the Servant of God”. But, that is a different manner of song, for my intention here.
