choose one or all to answer. I think what we take into our consciousness says a lot about who we are. We don’t necessarily have to label it as good or bad, it will just speak to who we are. I have been listening to local bands around my city. the book I am reading is, moonwalking with Einstein. it is all about how to improve your memory. welllll I have to figure out how I am going to retain what I am learning in grad school. the movie I will watch today is 12 angry men. from what I gather it is about justice, or possibly lack thereof. I am learning a lot about social justice right now in social work 602, so this will be a film to complement that.

Last night was listening to the sound track from Forrest Gump. I iAd a longish drive in the afternoon and threw in a cd that was just released by a friend and lately a lot of The Tragically Hip, virtually unknown in the States but among the biggest bands in Canada.
Current book; Bill Bryson’s In A Sunburned Coutry. It’s his take on traveling in Austrailia. The guy is very detail oriented and covers a lot historically, geographically, intrapersonally, anecdotally and somewhat judgementally.
Last night watched Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. It’s kind of amazing how you can laugh through inept criminals killing each other through various misunderstandings and while you want the dumbest of the lot to win in the end, he leaves you literally hanging. It was a good end because you know they will probably get screwed but you can hope they won’t.
What does all this say about me? Although I enjoying learning new things, I don’t take it too seriously…except for blocked air passageways.
Speaking of learning, here’s a good one about this whole cpap issue. A lot of people have the problem as they get older. Snoring is a part of the issue and when the tongue muscle get progressively worse, eventually it falls back into your throat to block the passage. The interesting thing is that the lungs can provide the oxygen the body needs for about twenty seconds before it needs to be refreshed. If you aren’t inhaling after that, the brain sends a shot of adrenaline to wake you up and that is why it is hard to fall back asleep after you have been awakened in this manner. Since I got this thing, I sleep deeper, longer. I feel like a bozo putting the thing on, but it is totally worth it.
@spitfire3dc those all sound like interesting choices. yeah, I have known a to of people who uses cpap. some people won’t keep them on, but I’ve heard it makes a big difference
