I had to buy a new phone. The screen was cracked and it had a damaged charging port. I got the same make/ model of phone so i knew what i was getting into.
What did you think of the purchase, provided it was something that you hadn’t owned the exact same thing previously?

a cabin filter for my car, although I am not entirely sure that it was needed. I think maybe the mechanic said that to make money.

@Jear77 no not rele. I think the mechanic sees vulnerability in a female and can sell something.
@Scarlett I have to change out my cabin filter, too. It is to filter the air running to the air conditioner. It is a small rectangle filter that fits in a slot under the dashboard, down past my gas peddle. I just buy it at Auto Zone auto parts store for about $10.00 and change it myself. When I open the slot door and pull the old filter out, it doesn’t look dirty. It looks just like the new one I am installing. Maybe that is because I rarely run the air conditioner. I only run it when Immortal Pirate is in my car, or on a very hot day. Otherwise, I roll the window down and enjoy the wind in my hair. To find your cabin filter on your car, find your car make and model on YouTube and type in “changing the cabin filter”. How often it should be changed depends on how often you use your air conditioner and heater. My manual says to change it every two years. I think changing it every four years might be right.

Rocks for our front yard. Our yard was getting sparse on rocks. We could see patches of dirt showing around our tree. A big dump truck delivered 2 tons of rock. We spent a few days shoveling it and raking it evenly around the yard.
A kitchen sink !!! The old sink was chipped and the porcelain was wearing thin. Immortal Pirate installed it. With his know how as a handyman and plumbing smarts, he got it settled in place. I learned that his cuss word vocabulary is more vast than I thought. So, now we have a new stainless steel sink in the kitchen.
A thermostat for the oven. The old oven did not work right. It was losing temperature. The stove is not all that old, but it was General Electric and General Electric engineers a shorter life expectancy into their products.
So now, within just a few days, we have a new looking front yard, fixed oven, and a new kitchen sink. It set me back a little over a thousand dollars, but it made life better around here.
