When is time to move on? When is it time to get goin’?

I’m on the verge of making some big changes in my life. It’s exciting, a little scary, and probably necessary. I feel hopeful and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all affects my growth as an individual, but of course there’s uncertainty and it’ll all take some adjusting. As the title suggests: when is time to move on?

I’m going to say “anytime”; because we humans have a tendency to hang onto things that hamper our growth far longer than we need to.

The caution here, is that we need Solomon’s wisdom to rightly discern those things that are genuinely worth hanging onto.

We are a living conundrum: holding onto things that hold us back, yet rushing to sacrifice things of value — for example, for the sake of “”progress”” we seem to have set aside good things like peace, joy, trust, honor, community, family etc..

But we are by nature, explorers.
Adapters. (no, not the kind you plug into the wall!)

But like those that we plug into the wall, it takes energy to get out and make changes. And the ruts of stagnation that we so easily settle into, are so comfortable.

So I believe we need the urging of saying that almost anytime is time to get moving and try something new. Exercise your “adapter”. Anything of true value you leave behind, will become apparent and can likely be scooped back up along the way.

You know when it is time to move on. It lingers thick in the air around you. It is that urge that doesn’t go away. It is time for the next chapter of your life to open. You step forward and step by step you are moving into tomorrow. Tomorrow is blank, but you will fill it up.

It’s time to move on when forward momentum has ceased and time to really get going when you feel that first surge of the wheels starting to turn.

You can really get going if you have a rolling start. Conserve energy during the initial roll and then once you feel that sense of motion; kick it p to ten with a clear eye on the target.

Never run away from. Always run towards!

It’s time to move on when you can’t find anymore excuses not to. Many of us are not creatures that adapt easily or willingly to change. Change is super hard for some – especially me!

Good luck with your new adventure and remember to take one day at a time, be prepared set backs and expect those discouraging thoughts, but just keep swimming!

in my life its time to move on when it is Past time to move on. when i should have already done it. change is risky, and hard but that is part of the process. if you are telling yourself its time, and you are feeling hopeful, well that sounds like a good time to do it?

hope its going well whatever it is
