The resurrection of the Dead begins with the renewing of the Mind.
That is all the changed that day on the cross with the first Thief. Regardless of what happened to his body in the days to come, he was resurrected at that point where his mind was renewed by the Spirit.
BTW, you don’t have to address me so cordially! But if you’re so inclined, “Sage Master” could be fun for a round or two; just to be certain I’ve sagely mastered humility!
They could use some of their multiple billions in profit to drop an Olay bomb on your house and have you immortally trapped under a pile of goo. (Very Prometheus meets Sisyphus! Now that’s deep. Remember to come up slowly!)

That assumption is only natural within the religious ideologies we built up around Truth, trying to better control and administer it.
There are spots in the New Testament where it seems to rather clearly identify the process of “eternity” beginning with a renewing of the Mind right here and now, in this life.
(Also in the assertion that salvation is both a singular event and a process)
But the religious ideologies have banked so heavily in the notion that its pending — once we bravely endure this “horrific incarnation” with “faith (and works!) intact”.
(Which assures them both job security, and supplicant wind-up workers).
@griz for all the here and now, the immediacy of the kingdom, theability to claim (faultily i might add) it changes lives, we still die. “I offer you life!” Is the advertisement. But the caveats that should say “but i also offer tou heartache, persecution, poverty, the necessity of throwing everyone who doesn’t believe the same, sickness without cure, and death!” And those lives, supposedly change? Smoke and mirrors, people pretending to be changed. I can’t be pretending. I have a life to live

Consider the sheer number of physical breakthroughs via science that countless people insisted were faulty thinking at the time.
And you try to do it regarding something spiritual which science cannot see???
The advertisement has ALWAYS read: I give you life but life more abundantly.
The path of life always involves these things that you mentioned: regardless of what one chooses to hold on high.

One of the time-honored appellations of God from across the spectrum of human beliefs, is “Life”. It is archetypal.
Thus what you say becomes, “If the path of Life guarantees these things I have nothing to lose by rejecting Life”.
But does our rejecting something truly make it go away? Or does it just make us fools for thinking that our arrogance alone can can consign something to irrelevancy, or even non-existence?

Reading between the lines, the natural assumption is heaven

Heaven is not literally “up there”, it is down here, in our hearts.
