This is a song that I’ve heard before, but I hadn’t really listened to the lyrics. I wondered what “good people” this song spoke about. I decided to look up the lyrics and was surprised to see how this applies even more so today than it did when this song was released 12 years ago.
It mainly speaks about the media and how the artist wonders “Where’d all the good people go?”. Do you remember role models on TV? Do you remember “good” TV?

Herman Munster was an awesome role model. Although at times he was a little naive he had the occasional pearl of wisdom. I remember him once talking to Eddie about racial prejudice…that advice would probably carry well currently. He was a loving husband, father and uncle. He treated Grandpa well…an overall good guy.
Really? A talk about racial prejudice from Herman Munster! Well, that’s something! I want to try to see if I can hunt down a clip of that. I like seeing older shows touch on modern day issues. I think it’s nice that writers thought enough of such things to include them in “family friendly” shows of another era, especially when censorship and wholesomeness held such importance. But on the other hand, it’s also a bit sad that we’re still working through these issues. You’d think after all this time, we’d have figured some of this stuff out by now.

I think there is a lot of good tv.
The Americans, iZombie, Lucifer, Legion (Marvel), Fargo, Mr Robot, and so on.
My favorites are those which challenge conceptions of reality, like Legion, Mr Robot, the Matrix, Inception, Dark City, Thirteenth Floor, and so on. But, I also enjoy true crime shows, and very good fiction. Preacher, Fargo, American Gods, Twin Peaks, and so on.
Oh, and for songs, there are also a lot, but this a great one my youngest found and loves, as do I:
