Because God the Father is an entirely different and very real person from Jesus.
But, Jesus did not speak on his own, however he spoke the Message God gave him.
Really quite simple, people are just conceited and idiots…
They prefer their own lies over the glorious truth, even if that means mortality and hell and the lake of fire… to being a god/goddess.
They should be superheroes, but refuse to.
Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Superman. Deadpool. Wolverine. Mother Nature. Wisdom. The gods and goddesses of old. They are all very real people.

Any discrepancy is mostly a function of undeveloped human perception.
One of the key functional purposes of “The Incarnation” was to provide vehicle to correct mistaken and often ego-centric perceptions of God. (ie, trying to understand God through us and our instinctive emotionalism: resulting in such reverse-anthropomorphisms as God is angry, God is jealous).
With The Incarnation came a new kind of access to the Holy Spirit that allowed us to shift to a model of understanding ourselves as a function of (and subject to) the Divine Archetype — rather than trying to cast the Divine Archetype as a function of (and subject to) us and our limited (often egocentric and emotional) understanding model.

I tend to view it these days as just Jesus and the Father being 2 different ppl, if if very similar.
Things continue to happen from the Father, like the desolations of israel, etc.

That’s the best “Trinity Theory” theologians currently put forward. It’s . . functional for us at our current level of spiritual participation with the Holy Spirit.
With me it’s sort of morphed into the acceptance that I am in Spiritual fellowship with an Entity (Energy, Ultimate Archetype?) that is at the same time both intimately personal and staggeringly transcendent.
Further “updates” are pending . . . as I show myself ready for them!
@griz Traditional is not always bad. It usually is, though, especially in times like these. Take a gander at christian forums eschatological forum sometime, for instance.
I actually am very aware of what your view, and this other view. I tend to switch back and forth.
There are a lot of questions and mystery about the Father. For instance, why can’t you see his face and live — and, in context, Moses saw his face and lived. And his back? What? Was the Father joking?
Who is Michael, the archangel? Especially if you remove all other “archangels”? How are all the heavenly angels his? Why did you just hear his voice as we did with the father and Jesus, at times?
If we get everything from the Father – or higher ups like Michael and Jesus do – then… is there really anyone else there at all?
And, etc.
And, the Word of God? If Jesus, why not just say it? Jesus said he was the Morningstar of all people. At the end of Revelation. Why not the Word of God? And why is there a title on his robe and on his thigh? And what is his name no one else knows? And how is Michael different from the baby born and from Jesus?
And so on and so on and so on…
Further, we can firmly believe something one day. And the next day believe something else. And be very far from wishy washy. Because the Father is always two steps ahead. Of everyone. And millenia ahead of the vast majority.
