Whenever I see this flower I stop and look at it. I like red. It reminds me of the ones I love. What do you stop and look at on your walks? Did you go on a walk today? Did you enjoy it? Who do you love? Does the person you love ask you to listen to the Beatles with them, and dance, and write in journals, and read to each other, and listen every time you say you want to have a long talk, and agree to your request of them to do bad impressions of famous people until you fall down laughing?

Whenever I stroll through my garden, I look at the tips of the leaf growth. If there are new sprouts then I know the plant is doing well. Dried and dead leaves means that something must be done to help the plants.
I don’t take walks outside. It is 124 in the shade and the asphalt of the street is hot enough to melt the rubber sole of my shoes. Sometimes, Immortal Pirate and I will go to a local — air conditioned — antique store and walk for a few hours. We talk about some of the items in the store and get our exercise.
No, my love never asks me to listen to the Beatles. He shares things he finds on facebook with me. He doesn’t do impressions of people. Maybe it is because he has a kind nature and doesn’t make fun of people. However, he often has me laughing with his humor. Someone on facebook said that a very sexy picture of a young lady was so sexy that it gave him the shakes. Immortal Pirate answered, “Don’t shake it here, we just had the carpets cleaned.” I have been chuckling about his funny quips all day today. He is clever.
@ladybarbara I love walking through antique stores, too. We see the neatest things. I do not consider us doing bad impressions of famous people making fun of others. If anything, we are poking fun at ourselves and the fact that we can’t do a decent impression of Jack Nicholson. I think IP is generally a kind person, but I don’t think I would agree that he doesn’t have fun at others expense going by the way he has interacted with some of the people here in the past…
@Scarlett2 Oh yes, Immortal Pirate has fun with friends he has interacted with, but he never does impressions of them. Movie stars are fair game if he is quoting them, but he doesn’t get into making fun of them.
@Scarlett2 I rib @jear77 a lot…it’s easy to do, but you know he sets himself up for it. And Andrew, remember him?, He’s the only other person I’ve ever teased to any extent…Canadians??? I guess he can’t help himself being a lumbering schmuck.

@Scarlett2 No. Just like Griz, Jear77 stopped coming here. Maybe it was because Griz left and he was the only one having quality talks with Jear77. Without Griz, this site was of no use to Jear77.

@immortal_pirate I have Andrew Littler on my Twitter account. He is so totally leftist that if he tries to take another step he would fall off of the edge of the planet. He talks so hatefully about all things. So, I read the poisonous words he has to say, but I don’t answer anything he says. When someone is so negative and hateful, I go into my quiet mode. I just shake my head because I find it sad to live with such a nasty attitude. My Mom always said that , “If you can’t say anything nice, then say nothing at all.” So, I say nothing . Once a year, I buy a card that has a picture of a marmalade orange cat on it. I sign it with a cats paw print (dipped in ink) and address it to him from his cat. I am sure it freaks him out. I put his address as the return address.
We walk around in the antiques mall and look at stuff we really don’t need or want. We do occasionally buy something. We watch a lot of T.V., with the volume up so Lady Barbara can hear it…then during commercials she’ll say something or ask me a question and my standard reply usually begins with WHAT? or I’m sorry, I didn’t hear you…and she repeats what she said. So I mute the T.V. to listen to her…all is good.
